The primary chassis is blue with the arms colored gold. Grey is used as highlights. Avar Kriss chose the chassis because of the flexibility it had versus some of the other frames available.

[b][color=ff8c69]Personality:[/color][/b]MZ-33 is a motherly droid. Tending to push for greatness out of those she has decided is her person. She wants to make sure social faux pas are avoided while also making sure the person eats their meals and gets the necessary sleep to function. Quite often she will be demanding about a schedule being maintained. She sees free time as the time to prepare for future dangers, though recognizes that the people she has served have needed leisure activities as well. Those she allows begrudgingly. 

For all the mothering she does it has made her fiercely protective. Having gained the programming to fight, despite what a protocol droid should normally have, she uses that to her advantage. She is often underestimated and allows people to believe her to be just an old doddering protocol droid that is easily past her prime. She appreciates the ability to "fly under the radar" and prefers to only fight when it is most dire. However, MZ-33 is no pacifist. She has seen the rise and fall of too many societies, and the damage those can do to innocents. 

Having lived so long and seen so much MZ-33 has gained an obnoxious pompous and self-important attitude. This is especially apparent when MZ-33 believes a situation should be handled a certain way. She is sometimes correct but also has been known to be wrong. Though she wouldn't admit to that even privately.

MZ-33 was originally purchased by Avar Kriss. They were support for the Jedi as she dealt with the "Legacy Run" explosion. From Avar Kriss MZ-33 passed hands among the Jedi, always working with them to keep the balance as both a protocol droid and a motherly presence when needed. Hundreds of years passed like that giving MZ-33 a vast look at history as it unfolded around her. She took the fall of the High Republic hard and in part wishes she could restore the Galaxy to the glory of her early years.

In more recent history MZ-33 joined with the Jedi Raynor. Together they fought and sued for peace during the Clone Wars. He programmed her how to wield a lightsaber, an unusual ability among droids and unheard of for protocol droids. Saying that "You will be underestimated, use that to your advantage". When Raynor was killed during order-66 he asked MZ-33 to protect his family and gave MZ-33 his lightsaber. Shortly after she was shut down and stored, possibly with the intention of changing her programming it was never followed through. A poor choice by the Empire as MZ-33's data banks could have supplied a wealth of information. 

Zarina found MZ-33 and reactivated her. She has served Zari since then. Deciding even before she realized who Zari was that this would be her person. MZ-33 searched for what happened to Jedi Raynor's family and when they realized that Zari was his long-lost daughter it set into the stone of her programming to protect her at whatever the cost.
