Made a character, a Quarian engineer, woop woop. Hope this fits the bill. Also, I love that template! Writing a report on how she managed to so delicately fix a lightbulb is not her style, because nobody is going to bother to read that report; When she had to write a report of some kind, she finds the ones on serious issues are the ones that are more important, because everybody is going to wonder what caused the main drive to almost detonate and fire off a load of blue-shift emissions. Plus, they make her look better. Luli tends to be chirpy and just a touch jumpy. She is humorous, and believes that enjoyment should be a major factor in what she is involving herself in - a reason why she stuck to engineering roles, which she takes pleasure in, rather than trying to become a one of the Migrant Fleet Marines. Luli is easily amazed by new things that she learns and sees, and has particular interest in unique ideas that could potentially blossom into something brilliant.

DETAILED HISTORY

Born as Luli'Meerol on board a ship known as the Taahala, early life went just about the same as any other Quarian. She spent the first year of her life in a bubble, which kept her safe from any dangerous microbes, and soon got her first suit, something which was celebrated. Nothing significant in her own life happened as she passed through her early years, and she was educated just as well as the rest of her peers. By the time she was seven, she worked on the lightest duties that there were to help maintain the Taahala, duties which only grew in complexity with every year forward in her life. By the time she was coming close to her pilgrimage, she was regarded as one of the most competent engineers on the Taahala. This lead to her being quite prepared when her pilgrimage actually came. All the other preparations were made when the time itself came; She was given immunisation boosters and implants, and given both equipment and lessons from her elders as to what to do and how to survive out in the wild. Once she was ready, Luli said her goodbyes to the Taahala and it's crew, and then was given to another Quarian who was heading to the citadel. Despite the preparations and lessons that she was given, Luli was still incredibly nervous at leaving the flotilla. She watched the fleet all the way until the jump was made to leave the system. The first two years were not what Luli was expecting. She knew that Quarians were disliked, but not to what extent; Her first thought of the Citadel was that it was beautiful, magnificent even, though those thoughts were tarnished when she was tugged aside by C-Sec on her first arrival for a security interview, and she was constantly belittled on the streets of the Citadel. Despite this, she managed to make herself some sort of a living by taking on small jobs, which earned her enough money to survive. Her expertise began making her name passed by word of mouth, and she was given larger and larger jobs over time. 2178, at twenty years old, was both one of Luli's worst years and one of her greatest ones. The worst of it came when she was listening to the galactic news, and learned of a horrible fate that had befallen the Migrant Fleet; An airborne virus, spreading through the Migrant Fleet with lethal effects. It filled her with great sadness to think of what was happening at home whilst she was away on her pilgrimage. Completing her pilgrimage became an objective now more than ever, as she hoped to return to the fleet to support it during such an awful time - though, the incident may very well have ended by the time she found the gift she was to return with. Then, came the jackpot. Working away at numerous smaller jobs and having her name spread around as a competent engineer had it finally reach well-funded ears. A small-time mercenary group had been hired by an independent client for the return of his son's ship, which had been disabled and hijacked by pirates. The mercenary group contacted Luli after hearing of her name and, after some haggling, took her on to assist in bringing the ship back online once it had been cleared of any pirates. The job paid well, and so Luli was happy to help. She met up with them at the Citadel's docks, and was swiftly taken away with them. Working with mercenaries was unusual and new, and during the journey, Luli mentally prepared herself for the task ahead by doing some puzzles; Working out which end of each cable connected to where in the jumbles that hid behind the panels of the mercenary ship. Whilst she was just hired for the one job, she got on their good side by doing some maintenance and fine-tuning of their ship. Luli was only allowed on the disabled ship once most of the pirates had been eliminated, and was stood in the airlock for the duration of the engagements, unable to see what was going on outside or inside. The ship was in decent condition despite the hole that had been torn in the hull, which was the original reason for the ship being disabled. She was instructed to bring the sensors online first, to ensure that another pirate ship wasn't just lurking in the background and waiting for them to let their guard down. That was when it was revealed that the ship wasn't just sitting in the middle of nowhere, but the pirates had tried to hide it in the middle of a naval graveyard. Ships fluttered about in various conditions, with all sorts of ailments. That made Luli's job a lot easier than she had believed prior. She had thought she was going to have to cannibalise from the client's ship itself to get it into such a shape where it could move, however due to their location, she was able to just take some parts from other ships rattling about. Over a period of a week, she was under the watchful eyes of the mercenaries, who helped her with moving parts when needed, but otherwise let her work. By the end of it, the ship would need an actual dockyard to get repaired completely, however it was in a state where it could move and be returned to the client. As soon as the job was completed and Luli received her payment, she took a shuttle straight back to the graveyard. She spent a full month surveying every ship that she could, listing them by their condition. By the end, she chose the ship that would be the easiest to fix, with no external breaches; A survey corvette that had to have been made be a hundred years prior to her setting her feet on it's deck plates. Getting it back into an operational condition would be no small task, but with it's registered owner long gone, she had no problem changing the registry to be in her name. It would be her's. Two years were spent on the corvette, named the Hetalir. The task was one of endurance as much as it was skill, for she couldn't spend all of her time in the graveyard. She travelled back and forth between the Hetalir and various destinations in a shuttle, gaining credits and then losing them on parts that she couldn't get from the graveyard. Not only was it a tedious job, but it tended to be dangerous, too; Many other individuals came through the graveyard, and Luli was often forced to lay low until they disappeared with whatever they came for. However, once she was done, she had her very own (albeit small) ship. Luli's pilgrimage was marked as complete when she returned to the Migrant Fleet with the Hetalir. The Quarian made a visit to the Taahala, visiting old acquaintances, though she unfortunately found a sad truth; Her parents had come into contact with the virus of 2178, and both had unfortunately passed away. Such a discovery made Luli, quite understandably, upset. It also made her realise that she didn't want to be left cooped up in her ship, stuck with the Migrant Fleet for the duration of her life. She took the Hetalir and left the fleet to explore the galaxy. Throughout the next three years, she worked hard for various clients in various engineering roles, most notably bringing yet another ship online for one that paid a hefty fee 'as thanks from the enkindlers'. Her expertise resulted in her coming into contact with powers higher than she thought she would ever get to speak to - she was asked to be a part of Operation Kinglsayer. Seeking a new adventure, Luli agreed to be a part of the team, docking Hetalir on the citadel for until she needed it next.
