Chas knew that it didn't matter how stubborn Serena was, John would have been more stubborn just to make a point that he was more stubborn. As much as he loved his mate, he also knew what a right petty asshole he could be when it came to such things. He instantly stood up when the alarms started going off wondering if he should call for someone to come in, but Serena was already taking charge of the situation with her shadows. "should I get someone in?" he asked her.

Kay frowned when he explained that there just wasn't time for them to have gotten out. It just made the whole situation all the more worrying.
