Esme Stirling
Esme continued to lean against the wall of the room, looking at the floor, not making any sort of move as talk went back and forth between the others. She kept quiet, thinking that she didn’t really have much to add to the conversation at that particular moment. It wasn’t until the name Lilith was spoken did she look up. The name seemed familiar to Dean as well with the way he lowered his gun. She clenched her fists and shoved down the emotions that threatened to push themselves to the surface, but she couldn’t keep the mix of emotions from showing in her eyes. Her eyes always gave away what she was feeling, no matter how hard she tried to hide them. She then scanned the room of faces before her gaze landed back on Casson. She couldn’t get herself to ask the question that was burning in her mind at that moment, but it was written clearly on her face that she had one. Maybe she couldn’t ask because part of her wasn’t sure she really wanted to know the answer, or maybe she was afraid to know. Then again, it was possible one of the others had the same question she did and would ask. Still, she couldn’t get her lips to move to form the words, which caused her to clench her teeth in frustration. Taking a deep breath, she finally found control of her lips. Her arms fell to her sides, and she pushed herself from the wall, her eyes never leaving Cason. “Are you in cahoots with her?” she asked, trying to keep her tone even. Her fists remained balled, her short nails digging into her palms. The slight pain was probably the only thing keeping her grounded at that moment.
