On an ordinary day, her first thought would have been a weak earthquake but the situation called for other theories. Turning her new kitty cat friend towards the source, she once again uncharacteristically headed forwards in the direction of the main fray. It wasn’t time to run and hide, hell there wasn’t really any place to run and hide anyway. Either way, she knew she was one of the few people that could do something about this invasion, and well now she also had people relying on her. So she leaned into her mount and urged them to go faster, leaving statues of confused alien bodies behind her. Coming around the corner as fast as she could with another passenger holding on to her, she saw what had caused the large growl from the earth. Was that a … tank? A really really large alien tank. That was at least what she thought as she tried to understand what she was seeing. She had no idea what she could do against a thing like that, well especially with her new medusa-like spell. Looking down from the tower of metal though, she found herself relieved to see there was once again the same kind of alien invaders she had seen before. Sure there were thousands of them this time, but she could at least do something with that… and wait is someone else already here? As the battle cat bounded over towards the army of ridiculous size, Cadence could start to see there were some other figures there. Their dressed in snazzy outfits and fighting the enemy, were the exact people it seemed like Muerte had wanted to find. A giant grin crossed her face, as she lifted herself higher off the saddle and waved madly towards the other heroes as she tried to get their attention. A small framed figure with a dash of neon green sitting on top of a 6-foot tall alien battle cat who was hurdling down the street. “We made it!” Cadence yelled over the war zone, though to anyone else it was more than likely her words were drained out by the sounds of battle. Now getting closer to the imposing legion, it looked as if she had managed to get some enemies’ attention. That was bad luck for them though, because as soon as she made eye contact with them they started to slow and grey. Statues of soldiers, on the edges of the battle line. Cadence just hoped this amount of power would last long enough for her to be able to survive all of this. She was after all running on another meta’s strength and borrowed time.
