[color=a36209]Ability:[/color] [b]Ferromagnetism:[/b] Emilia can magnetize metal and manipulate magnetic objects, causing them to attract or repel each other. She can use it to ferrokinetically halt bullets in mid-air and launch them, cause several cars to move and group together, manipulate the pedals of a car to make it move on its own for a few examples. Her abilities also work against humans who wear metal or other objects she could magnetize, which allowed her to repeatedly shove a security officer against a dumpster, drag several officers across the ground by pulling on their guns. In the beginning, the size, weight, and distance of her targets will limit Emilia's effectiveness with her powers, However, as time will progress, Emilia's abilities will grow stronger, extending her distance and the amount of metal she could manipulate to a point where she would able to pull a jet out of the sky and bring it crashing down, displaying the degree of power she potentially wields.

[*][b]Ferromagnetic Levitation:[/b] Since becoming Altered, Emilia has been wearing steel-toe boots, metallic bracelets, and various metals within her outfits allowing her to levitate if she choses to.

Electromagnetism: Emilia can create and use magnetic fields to manipulate electrical currents, allowing her some control over electrical appliances. She has used this ability to cause lights to turn off or even blow out, shut down vehicles using an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) and reverse the electrical current of a Taser to the individual who was holding it.

[*][b]Electromagnetic Sense:[/b] Just as she can detect metal; Emilia can feel surrounding electrical currents. She can also sometimes vaguely sense when people or animals are in the same general area, due to sensing the trace metal content in their bones and electromagnetic pulses in their nervous systems.

[color=a36209]Background:[/color] Sofija was born overseas in Europe, more specifically Latvia where she would spend the early years of her childhood. Initially being raised by her mother while her father did periodic visits, her father was an American who is a business man who had a prolonged trip to Latvia at the time, her father would often spend time travelling to Europe and over time fell in love her mother Anna. A couple of years later Sofija was born. Both herself and her mother remained in their native homeland, during that time she suffered from asthma but often enjoyed watching movies and sports. When Sofia reached the age of eight years of age, herself and her mother moved over to the states to be together as a whole family unit. 

Her new life in the U.S was okay, but she got bullied a lot at school so the family decided to move away from Miami, Florida. she was doing good in her education, performing well and worked hard. She refused to let her Asthma hold her back, still she had to be careful. As time went on, the young girl would go on to be enrolled into the girl scouts for a while. It was not long before her teenage years that the first evidence of Sofija's Asthma had finally subsided and gone. she took a 'tough girl' persona as a defensive at tool to keep strangers she was weary of and bullies at a safe distance, although she was getting into the habit of starting some of them herself, but at least she didn’t really get picked on no more.

In the latter half of her teenage years, Sofija wanted to join the navy but she was only 17 at the time and her parents would not give her permission, although it upset her, she continued on in her education and managed to get a diploma in information technology. Sofija did get a couple of part time jobs until she reached the age of 19 where without the need for a consent from her parents joined the naval academy where she would go through basic training lasting the best part of eight weeks. It was a tough and gruelling time that often felt like it took forever, but was so totally worth it as once she had passed, she spent the following weekend on Liberty before getting her assignment. 

Sofija was assigned to the USS Sampson, becoming an information systems technician on board the ship. During her time aboard the ship, Sofija would partake in several festivals, exercises and other celebrations but did have deployments in western pacific and middle east regions as tensions raised throughout the world. The ship was on its way back from deployment around the time the energy storm hit the united states, she was running just of the coast at the time. The ship closed in further to the coast, maybe a little to close as the confusion of reports and maydays where flooding the airwaves as the ship could see first-hand what was happening. 

The Sampson was then surprisingly hit by a bolt from the energy storm [url=https://live.staticflickr.com/3675/13363207713_5e6bc5fa7e_b.jpg]Causing initial damage to the ship[/url] as the vessel began trying to pull away and get some distance. It was to no avail as the ship took a second and more destructive blast, [url=https://live.staticflickr.com/7387/13363431274_bcefc7d1b9_b.jpg]Causing a massive explosion[/url] at the front of the ship, many had died and it was difficult for Sofija and any others fortunate enough to not get caught in the blast to abandon ship, unfortunately barely a third of the crew manage to escape the sinking ship. It appeared some smaller civilian boats had saw the destruction and came to do what they could to get the sailors out of the water. After being brought back to land Sofija was mentally and physically beat, she was put on shore leave after the incident, awaiting hopefully for her next assignment. 

She soon caught the energy sickness that was plaguing the country and was out of action with her illness for several weeks before she could make a recovery, she grew increasingly frustrated as this also extended her shore leave and delaying her deployment. She used this time to spend it with her family and meeting up with her friends, trying to get some normalcy, like that would ever happen. She started sensing things, like objects and people, it was all confusing, overwhelming as she couldn't understand it, but when she had an argument over something she accidently EMP’d the block she was in, literally everything in the building just turned of. She knew this was bad, she had heard about people being 'altered' having strange abilities, it didn’t take her long to put two and two together, she had to learn what it was she could do and get a handle on it fast.
