well, i pictured your typical princess. 
gentle by nature but at the same time open to being defiant, if only up to a point, and will not always agree with what they are told or told to do, but sometimes end up with no other choice if it came to it. Not those 'cry at the drop of a hat' types.  No stereotypes allowed. 



In the plot, their choice could decide EVERYTHING. 

Archery lessons would be a part of day to day life, of course.
