Well, I've been wanting to find a way to emphasize Jaden's intelligence, rather than making him seem like a silent brute. I also figured it'd help to have a character who could compliment the other characters' skillsets without overshadowing them. Like, if one character had a broken leg, Jaden could at least patch it up until getting them to the doctor to apply proper treatment. That sort of thing.
