Nyssa Devout

Time: early Morning Location: San Francisco Interactions: None.

“I am Stacey Williams with ABC7 news reporting live from just outside of Astraea’s security depot here in San Francisco, here we can see many displaced people, many of which are families or been separated from families coming to the facility after their herculean effort to convert the back carpark into a camp but using small pre fab homes that were delivered overnight and put in place together.” Stacey points towards what they could see from their location as they had not been given permission to enter as of yet. “Unfortunately as of yet, we have not been permitted to enter the private grounds at the moment, but we have been told at some point soon we can. This decision was likely made by Nyssa Devout, the daughter of the famous Franklin Devout, owner of Astraea Corporation. She has been pushing Astraea into more domestic areas, making strides into making private security and humanitarian aid divisions within the company.” Stacey took a moment for the camera to show many of the displaced citizens turning up and slowly being let into the premises. “From what I have been able to found out so far, is that the people turning up here are being medically checked over by some doctors and paramedics, of whom were also displaced after yesterday’s deadly attacks where one of the main hospitals in downtown was destroyed. Several ambulances have been seen arriving here earlier and have been here since, helping security and humanitarian personnel deal with the influx of people and take some pressure of the local FEMA camps. It is also Rumoured that miss Devout herself will also be visiting the makeshift camp to inspect its progress. I hope to give you more updates soon, this is Stacey Williams with ABC7 news”
Time: little later in the Morning.
Nyssa Had been staying in one of the fancy hotel’s after arriving late in the evening yesterday. She wanted to oversee the San Francisco operations first hand, and ensure that the temporary changes that had been made to their security depot where going smoothly as she hoped and of course to see how people were settling in, overnight operations along with the immense amount of delivery trucks and human resources to get this operation of the ground in such short notice was impressive but she couldn’t slack of now, there was so much work still to be done. She was still quickly tidying herself up, wearing a white business suit and drinking a cappuccino when her phone went off. She let out a sigh, her phone had been going off quite a bit over the last twenty-four hours, more than normal, making her reminisce of the days she would turn up on the cover of a Forbes magazine, it was a good distraction from the constant work she does now. Looking at who was calling, it was Franklin. “Hello dad.” She said sweetly. “I am fine, honestly, and no I have not shaken the security detail this time.” She would roll her eyes and she listened to him. “I know you told me not to come down here… Look dad, I am aware of how dangerous it is here, but you know me and this is important, there are people here that need all the help they can get and I am going to do my part.” Taking another zip of her cappuccino, she listened to her concerned father, no doubt her mother would be losing her shit once she realized her daughter, against her parent’s better judgment, had gone to oversee the humanitarian efforts in person. “Honestly I will be careful dad; I promise” she ended softly. Of course he was probably worried about her being altered and not in the safety confines of home or Astraea’s HQ. “I understand, my driver will be along soon to pick me up, I will text or call later dad. Promise me you will stay safe to, tell mum I love her okay.” Nyssa chuckled a little. “Love you to dad, speak soon.” Placing her phone down, Nyssa got her things together before she took a moment to look out the window of her hotel room. Seeing everything with her own eyes, TV just doesn’t do it justice and it annoyed her no end seeing so much death and destruction happening on home soil, but she had to keep her emotions in check as best she could for now, Last thing Nyssa needed was a repeat of the incident she caused a while back in L.A where letting her emotions get the better of her had changed the weather from a bright sunny day to a miserable wet one with some rain. Her little staring into space was disrupted by a knock at the door, a member of the security detail was just checking in on her and made her aware that soon it be okay to leave.
