And it would take place in the modern day is what I was thinking, unless people would want to play in a different decade?
I mean I'm still signing up no matter what, but here are a couple of reasons you may consider placing it in a different decade instead. And mind you I'm going full bōsōzoku with my character idea, but this'll affect troublemakers of any stripe, really. Just stuff to think about: 1. Japan didn't start passing its anti-association laws until the early 00's or so. Before then it was much easier to wear gang colors, assemble in groups of fifteen or more, and get away with more shit without getting arrested. Definitely a struggle for underagers looking for trouble. Arrest and juvenile prison is an underwhelming end to any disturbed character's story. 2. Either the bubble of the 80s or the financial collapse of the 90s would not only make for interesting settings, but also go a long way in explaining away any expensive toys or legally questionable activities in our teenagers' recent purview. Motorcycles? Affordable to teens in the eighties. Sneaking into bars while underaged? Who cares it was the eighties. Hell we might be able to afford an actual clubhouse or hideout somewhere if we all chipped in. Conversely the nineties created a huge ennui via homelessness, joblessness, stress, uncertainty ... all delicious ingredients for creating a troubled home life for a fiery young kid full of piss and vinegar. 3. The chad gakuran and seira fuku vs. the virgin blazer. :cool
