I can't wait to get Chatak in the group.  He's awesome and your posts are great fun.  However, I'd suggest/vote for the party carrying on to the village, with Chatak and the rescue party escaping the city via the same route and gate-crashing the village.  That way we can do some RP, breathe a little and establish the next mission or destination, while still being able to link everyone up.
