There are no more bright and colorful tones left in this world. The population as a whole is utterly colorblind- seeing the world in only shades of black and white. This is largely to blame on the very event that rocked the world to its very core. Labeled only as The Cataclysm by those old enough to have witnessed it. The world became an inhospitable place for humans and animals alike. It left them with the inability to perceive color. Those that had power and influence chose to move underground. They built a large city with high walls that separated the different castes of society around a place they called Monochrome City- a so called safe haven for those that remained. Years after this disastrous event, many people attempted to recreate the color that made the world beautiful, but it always ended up in horrible failure. They eventually gave up, but there were others that didn't, and the research was stolen by a group of anarchists that came from the inner rungs of the city. With the stolen research, they created bombs that hit major parts of the city. Oddly- or thankfully- there was no death that followed these bombings. Though, a new disease spread like wildfire amongst the denizens of Monochrome City. The sickness proved hostile to experimental drugs. A catatonic state followed symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, dysentery, and dehydration. Patterns appeared on their skin- oftentimes geometrical in origin. They knew this was not a natural illness, but they were powerless as it was nondiscriminatory in who it targeted. For those that survived the ordeal, a colorful mutation remained to remind them. Almost like being labeled as an infected wasn't enough. After spending a year or more in quarantine, those that survived were released after showing no further signs of contagion. It left everyone puzzled, and just to be safe, those in charge relegated them to the lower rungs of the city- the slums. Two factions of young visionaries labeled as infected- once rivals- have come together to form The Technicolor. Their penultimate goal is to protect others like them, and to find a way out of Monochrome City in order to forge their own path above on the surface. They desire peace, but won't hesitate to fight. I prefer high quality pictures over those that are too small or too blurry. Please have an image that represents your character well. Please do not use oversexualized images either in character or out. Despite the mature rating on this roleplay, please keep it at least PG-13 regarding your images. -02- This is a literate roleplay for literate writers who enjoy writing and weaving intricate story lines. I believe in quality posts over quantity of text. -03- All characters MUST be at least seventeen. There are no exceptions. I will not make exceptions for you to play younger characters. Do NOT ask. -04- Please give your character a backbone. Challenge yourself to write characters that have unique personalities. I will only be accepting characters that I believe will further the plot. I will not be accepting characters who are simply there to be pretty and not grow as we progress. -05- Do not break the fourth wall. If we discuss something OOCly, your character should not know it. This bothers me extremely so when your character decides to know something they should not. -06- This is not a first come first serve roleplay. I expect writers who are willing to further the plot, and provide constructive criticism as well as be willing to make new friends. I would prefer to double up on characters, but this is by no means a necessity. I would prefer a total of 8 (possibly ten) characters or less so as not to have an inflated cast.

“Something Profound.” Type something your character would say here 「 Codename* 」 Your codename must be some kind of gemstone. You can be deranked if someone challenges your rank and wins. Assigned Partner- I will fill this out, so feel free to leave it blank. Karma Level- Karma is gained by doing missions successfully and how well they work well with others. High karma is notable of a person with few mission failures and works fairly well with others. Neutral karma has no measurable success or failure rate, and is not noticeably hostile or amiable toward others. Negative karma is usually denoted of a hostile person, but could also mean too many failures on missions. It is worth noting that because characters will be paired up, karma will rise and fall depending on how well the pair does together. 「 Notable Information 」 This portion is completely optional. Though, feel free to use this as an "Other" tab for any other useful information that was not described already. “Something Else Profound.” Type something your character would say here
