Madison
Madison leaned in close to Esme as they walked, feeling safe, for once. When they stepped inside the diner, Madison’s stomach growled fiercely again. She covered her stomach with her hand, biting her lip at the smell that flooded the building. As she sat down in the booth, she looked around at all the people eating their food. The food seemed to make them happy, a sensation she really wanted to experience. She stared across the table at Esme, shaking her head at the question of what she wanted to eat. She honestly didn’t know. She was almost embarrassed that she didn’t know what she wanted, or even really what the things on the menu really meant, but when Esme stated she was going to have a turkey burger, Madison gave a happy smile. “I think I’ll have the turkey burger, as well.”, she muttered innocently, her smile staying on her face until she felt a familiar presence. Her face dropped slowly as Sam and Dean approached the table.
Dean Winchester
Dean nodded at Sam’s questioning, stepping into the diner with intent, “Yeah. She’s one of the only hunters I trust, but it’s been a while. So, I’m not sure what she’s doing or anything. Keep your guard up. Let me talk first…” He knew the idea was breaking Sam’s plan of confronting the silver haired girl, but he wanted to be the first to approach Esme, after all this time. Stepping up to the table, he carefully slid himself into Esme’s side, trying not to make eye contact with the young girl across from her. “So, you um…you were right. This is something I would be interested in…”, he started, making a small eye contact with the girl, then turning to Esme, “What um…what are you guys doing?” Madison glared at Dean, her breathing growing a bit faster as she sat, trying to keep from exploding again, so soon. She realized that Esme had no ill will toward her, and so the contact had been innocent. But seeing Dean was incredibly traumatizing after what he had done to her, and after lying to her mother. He met her eyes briefly, raising his eyebrows at her glare. Dean then motioned with his eyes for Sam to sit down. He desperately needed backup and the girl was scaring the crap out of him. He pointed with his eyes to the free space beside her in the booth. “Sammy, join us. We have a lot to talk about.”
