Mercury, the laziest of Amontillado's crows, had been riding on his shoulder when the palace wall materialised in front of them. The bird startled with a squawk, nearly falling from Amontillado's shoulder before managing to grip the fabric of the cloak and pull himself back up. Amontillado gently stroked the ruffled bird's neck. He was rather surprised himself. They really had found the place. "This is... Considerably larger than I was expecting." He suspected an entire small village would fit behind that wall. It was easily the biggest building he'd ever seen. He'd never seen a man-made structure look so... bright and alive. "What's our plan? We probably shouldn't split up in there unless we know it's safe..."
