Age Indeterminate: minimum 800+ years Origin: Earth Possessions: Ancient War-Mage Robe- The clothes Faust woke up wearing. The clothing exhibits strange properties like holding no water even after being fully submersed or refusing to catch on sharp points or edges. The talismans rattle at the presence of active magic, even Faust's own. Powers/Abilities: Golem Body- Faust is a virtual walking tank. The grand majority of his body is metal and, because of this, is all but impervious to slashing or stabbing attacks, and body is incredibly resistant to physical attack in general. Without flesh, Faust does not need air, food or drink, though Rest is still useful even if not required. Thaumic Heart- An artificial mana-heart grants Faust access to magic despite his artificial body. Tied into his very being, he is afforded easier access to magic that will only grow over time, though it is questionable if Spirits would be interested in a contract with something as alien as Faust. Additionally, to make easy use of symbol magic he will have to source lifeblood from elsewhere, as he has none of his own. Triage- In Faust's past life he knew much about emergency medical care. Even with the superior ability and applicability of healing and regenerative magic over mundane medical care, being able to identify the form of an injury and then assess its severity in a short time is still valuable. Description: Faust is a machine built to mimic the shape of a human, wrapped in a War-mage's robe and decorated with protective talismans. Standing head and shoulders over most humans, he stands out in a crowd, thought his robes help to conceal his armored body. His greatest regret is his lack of a true face, instead left with a smooth dome of metal. Here it stands Faust is, deep down, still a kind soul. Though he is out of his depth in a world he is alien to, people still need help, and he still wants to help them. His drive to help the sick and injured is strong, and he has a particular soft spot for children. Faust is generally unafraid of confrontation and, if something he cares about is involved, will not hesitate to escalate. The Last Vanguard Hecatomb Shell-shocked by trauma, he is relying heavily on his emergency-response training to carry him through his current ordeal, but the cracks are quickly forming as the scope of his situation continues to increase. Being torn from his family and world after a botched summoning spell killed him has filled him with unshakeable existential horror. Having lost his humanity has led to a crisis of identity as he struggles to understand what he is. Finally, being dropped in the middle of a war, in a world he has no knowledge of has Faust feeling almost completely lost. Bulwarks against the Dark Faust has begun seeking to understand the new world he finds himself in. He seeks to understand his new form, it's origins and it's limitations, as he is likely to be stuck with it from here onward. He also has a definite interest in learning just what the physical and political landscape looks like, primarily so that he can make better informed choices about who to associate with, and to better understand the ongoing war. Behind all other questions is a simple one with no clear answer: where do I belong? Our first sacrifices, but not our last
