Esme Stirling
Esme watched Cason as he lowered his eyes to the floor, realizing he picked up on her little warning, which she was glad. She hated to be too blunt with people, but knew there were times it was necessary. She was almost surprised that she had actually gotten through to him, but since he pretty much confessed his feelings for her, it was less surprising. She sighed a bit as she caught the brief look from Bobby. She could tell he was checking to see if they were still there. She then looked back at Sarah and gave her a smile. She looked over at the door, then to Cason. “I’m going to go clear my head with a walk before everything hits the fan.” she told him. She then placed a hand on Sarah’s head and gave it a scratch before heading to the door. She placed her hand on the doorknob and looked back at him. “And don’t go worrying yourself. I’ll be fine.” she smiled. She then gave the doorknob a turn and opened the door, letting Sarah walk out first. She closed to the door behind her as she stepped onto the porch, then took in a deep breath of the cool air. “Hey Violet.” she smiled, giving her a scratch under the chin. She then adjusted her jacket and zipped it up, then walked off the porch. “You girls coming?” she asked the two hounds as she turned to them. She then turned back to the junkyard when they joined her. She then set off and started her walk, taking in the vehicles she passed by. As she made her way through the junkyard, she began to hum to herself and the two hounds. She could feel her mind clearing and her body relaxing so she could think clearer about everything that was coming up.
