Speaking of whom, he quickly turned to face the monochrome girl as she called out to him, describing the situation with the new person she was trying to bring in, which [i]probably[/i] wasn't purely for the twenty-five dollars being offered...

And that was when he heard another familiar voice, and turned just in time for Jack to tackle him in a hug. This may have been a bad move, as Jeremy's smile somehow managed to widen [i]even further,[/i] and he returned the bear hug with enough strength to lift his old friend a full foot off the ground, arguably with the strength of an [i]actual[/i] bear.

This was naturally a joke, as he was very clearly close to a whole head taller than the other boy.
