1995 Mika followed him out the doors, letting the cold air hit them both when she said what she did and made him stop dead in his tracks. The way he paused and at first didn't seem to say anything to her back, she couldn't help but start internally panic that she did the entirely wrong thing by admitting how she felt toward him and that this was going to utterly ruin their friendship. She didn't think it was because of the way she said his name initially. The moment he stammered out that it wasn't a date, she nodded about to be fine with pretending that conversation never got started when a teacher caught them walking out and opening the window getting ready to yell at them tog et back inside. She looked at him smiling back, letting him rub her cheek with his thumb as he said he would like it to be a date as well, before coming to the conclusion that it was now or never...they either did a runner or conceded defeat as the teacher started yelling at them. She didn't want to go back this time, she didn't want to be the goody two shoes student, she wanted out and a moment of freedom. She also wanted to be able to talk to Dean without other students interrupting them or a teacher doing the same thing. Feeling the yank on her hand, she ran with him as fast as she could, glad that she was wearing her converse today and not any of her boots. Laughing as they ran, she followed him to the main part of town where the diner was located. She saw his hands shaking as he pulled her closer to him and they walked to the diner together. She put an arm round his waist as he put his around her shoulders, smiling happily. "Yeah" she chuckled at his question. "I guess there's a first time for everything" she said with an amused tone.
