Dean smirked at her answer, glad that they were on the same page. It actually seemed like they were on the exact same page. That never happened with girls, for him. He tightened his grip on her hand, rubbing his thumb gently against hers as her eyes diverted. There it was, the way she changed directions, and the world shifted. It was something else he watched, commonly about her: what she saw with her eyes. She looked at grass differently than he had ever noticed another person do. She didn’t ask about the callouses on his hands, or the myriad of scars that he had, although he would be happy to share their origin, it wasn’t a draw for her. She simply wanted to hold his hand. It was innocent, and actually real. He couldn’t help another smile appearing on his face until she caught his eyes with hers again. His face kept a smirk as it fell, his eyes seeming to glow in the bright moon they were having. He wanted to kiss her, and the only thing holding him back was the fear that she would think he was trying to get into her pants, and that the entire day was just a ploy, because normally…it would be. But with Mika, he literally just wanted to kiss her. When she was the one to make the first move, it took him by complete surprise. He raised his eyebrows and closed his eyes as he saw her coming, the quick peck hitting his heart like a bolt of electricity. His eyebrows stayed raised as he opened his eyes and looked back down at her, scanning her eyes. “Um…what was that?”, he asked, trying to feign innocence as he was still afraid to scare her, or move too quickly for her taste. Hell, he didn’t even know what her taste was. But he reminded himself quickly, today…her taste was him. She had made that clear. As his heart sped up once again, he took a risk, pulling his hand from hers and cradling both sides of her face, before kissing her gently. He gasp of excitement he let out as soon as their lips met the second time, betrayed his confident nature almost causing him to pull away.
