Dean stumbled as he stepped into the kitchen, staring Mika down as she reached into the fridge and turned back to him. He snapped to place his hand on the counter and lean innocently, as if he was never looking at her and took the beer from her hand, “Oh. I get paid! Um…you’re welcome.” He had no idea why he was acting so nervous around her. Part of him felt like was back in high school, not knowing what to do with his hands or even his body when he was close to her. It had only been a few weeks. It wasn’t like she had changed, or that they had broken things off, although they weren’t dating officially, but were they? Nah they weren’t. Sighing, he opened the beer and took a long and nervous drink, stepping up in front of her. He leaned back a bit to offer his hips to her, as he bumped them into her hips, and took her hand, wrapping her arm around him. He sat his beer down and smiled, “Touch me. I missed you…” He laughed at how awkward the words sounded coming out of his mouth, and leaned in for the first kiss they had shared in a while, bringing up the thoughts on how they left things. They had left things on good terms, but not official terms. They had never really had that conversation about what they were, or where they wanted things to go. They just left…good. Because of that, he was careful to kiss her, or touch her, aside from what he thought she would allow, if they weren’t together, for some reason. He narrowed his eyes as he kissed her, bringing his hand up to her cheek, and then pulled her back from him, his hand holding her jaw playfully, “Any boyfriends up there that I need to know about? You never told me anything on the phone about them, but you know…you’re perfect and hot. I was gone, and smelled like sewage half the time. Things happen…”
