[color=C23F58]The Mesmer is a rare breed of creature that is often reffered to as a demon that gets their name from their hynotic gaze which takes the form of a spiral striation in the eyes. This form of humanoid creature is rare as in there are not many who are not half human, to come across a full blooded Mesmer is as likely as seeing a god in the flesh. Most Mesmer are half human and thus not nearly as powerful as their full blooded parent, but they are just as volatile depending on who they grow up to be. Most Mezmer are not inherently evil as some might thing, in fact even full mezmer can have feelings like love and often time they will fall in love with a human female. It is unfortuante however that most Mezmer babies have a high rate of death when it concerns the mother giving birth so most are raised by their fathers. There are rare cases where in the father will abandon the child and more often than not the child is slowly consumed by the demon half of themselves as they grow older and will become almost feral like animals. A half human mesmer can live a normal life however they must be taught to control their mesmer half. Mezmers can live indefinitely and this includes Mesmer half-bloodes as well however unlike full Mesmers, half bloods do age all be it extremely slow and will end their own lives when age takes them.

[list]Abilities are a picky thing when it comes to halfies, full bloods will have all these abilites and more but with halfies some will develope abilities and others will not it depends on the halfie in question. Despite this, all mesmer including halfies are born with the same hynotic spiral striation allowing them to hypnotize others if looked deeply in the eye. It is this reason that many mesmer will wear sunglasses that block their eyes completely from view so one does not end up becoming enthralled by their gaze. All Mesmer have great endurance halfie or otherwise. Abilities beyond this as stated are random and can include but are not limited to:

[*][b][color=920ee8]Telekinesis:[/color][/b] This is not a strong variant like a full blooded Mesmer so it can not be used on large objects such as a human, however it can be used to say take back a sword for example that has flown from their hand in a fight or even use a small object as a projectile to strike someone with.

[*][b][color=920ee8]Fire Manipulation:[/color][/b] Some halfies are able to control fire and in extreme cases can create fire from thin air, while this can be dangerous it is often times not that lethal as and flame produced does not have the power to kill but it can be used to light things or people on fire easy enough if close enough.

[*][b][color=920ee8]Enhanced reflexes:[/color][/b] Some Mesmer obtain enchanced reflexes or strength or speed, some can even have all three in rare cases. Not as great as a full blood but they are able to lift most humans effortlessly, run side by side with a normal horse and can easily dodge attacks if need be.

Halfies unlike full bloods can be killed the same as any human can, the minor difference being they need to be damaged just a bit more than a normal human due to their natural heightened endurance. For the most part halfies are no different then most humans but they are cursed with a taste for blood, many halfies will resist this and in most cases it won't have adverse effects however their abilities will be slighted if they refuse to drink blood. Halfies can also bare children without the mother dieing however any off spring they have may not survive due to the Mesmer blood running in their veins, anything lower than half and the child will not recieve any attributes and thus the mesmer part can kill the child faster.[/list][/color]

[color=C23F5B]Thaddeus is a Privateer or in other words he owns a heavily armed large sea worthy vessel that he often uses to help Lorenstad. Known for delivering exotic goods or foods to Lorenstad he is for the most part a one stop shop for exotic goods that one may not usually find. He has been known to escort others over the seas to various locations and has also been requested to get items that can not be found around Lorenstad. Some have thought him a pirate given his exotic nature, however, he has a long standing deal to work with Lorenstad and provide whatever services they may need. He has also taken on what some might consider a dock guard, spending most of his days in the port he does keep things running smoothly and makes sure any situations are dealt with. This is not an official job given to him but most know on the docks he is always watching for troublemakers.[/color]

A paradox is how some have come to view him, one minute he is strict and barking orders and the next he is in an arm wrestling contest over a crate with one of his crew. He is quite a talker when he wants to be and loves to boast and tell stories of his past which most don't believe could possibly be true. He loves music and to dance and most definelty considers his crew and much of the town like family and often treats them as such. As weird as he might be to some, people enjoy his company, hes a kind individual if not a bit of a rough houser and sometimes drinks a bit too much and has to replace a table he fell on. He does have a bit of a tempermental side but it rarely shows its ugly head and most are quick to bring him back into a good mood with a free drink.[/b][/color][/indent][/indent]

Captain Thaddeus came to Lorenstad port over thirteen years ago as a Privateer looking for work and ended up making Lorenstad his home when he is not working on the seas. Around town he has become almost a staple at least around the pub, he and his crew often celebrate a successful return with some ales and singing.
