Grey flinched slightly at the loud and abrupt entrance. As the tirade went on, his shoulders steadily rose defensively and his expression became more pinched as his heart rate rose. Even his long tail curled in closer to his legs. Usually, his mother would be the one to confront somebody like this. She'd call them an ignorant, rude peasant, and if push came to shove, she might even hiss intimidatingly at them. Grey didn't need to rely on his mother, however. He wasn't a child. He could stand up for himself. He cleared his throat. "That's rather rude, isn't it?" he said fairly calmly, though his irritation and maybe discomfort were evident. "What exactly have I done to warrant such a reaction? How dare I fancy a quiet meal." His tail was flicking with his building irritation. He missed being able to walk through a town unnoticed. There were plenty of odd people and races in the world, but the devilish horns and tail would never be welcomed by everyone. Really, he ought to be used to things like this by now... but he thought he'd heard Lorenstad was a diverse and welcoming place. [@Redpandagamer]
