She let out a soft breath, calming herself down. Even though the various claims were spooking the hell out of them, Adele kept telling herself that the house was more bark than bite. Yes, it was a little intimidating being in there, but who were the ones to spend more time in it than others? Junkies. Being high out of their minds, God only knows what the hell they hallucinated, and in turn, what stories they passed on to others like her classmates. Adele was shy, not stupid. Keeping to herself, she slowly walked away from the others, something she wouldn't have done had it been the middle of the night. But she wouldn't go that far, just traveling a little off the beaten path. Adele walked into the living room and was unimpressed with what she saw, the only thing catching her attention being the dolls on the floor. She also noticed the lamp on one end of the couch to be on. What idiot left the lights on? she thought to herself, shaking her head as if she were scolding a child. Beyond that, Adele decided to go through the next door leading to the back of the house, and once she stepped through that door, it took her a few moments to realize she was in the playroom. She walked deeper into the room, seeing a dollhouse by the wall. Judging by what's she'd seen so far, the kids who lived here before apparently had a lot of toys. Adele leaned closer to look at the dollhouse, and when she laid eyes on the dolls, her neutral expression turned into shock. The dolls looked exactly like them, like her and her classmates. The resemblance was so precise it was hard to go unnoticed. Adele started trembling, standing up straight before she turned and rushed for the door. But as luck would have it, her own clumsy feet decided to work against her. Adele tripped over something on the floor and fell against the door, shutting it close as a result. Despite the setback, she didn't let it stop her. She quickly got up to open the door and much to her surprise, it wouldn't open despite the fact she was pulling on the doorknob with both hands.
