He’d have to check if they needed supplies for the animals, and made a mental note to do that later. Shifting, he looked towards Adeline, not surprised to see Ce-Jay with her. The fox always seemed to be near, even when you could have sworn it wasn’t mere seconds before. Well, he supposed that meant the fox wasn’t getting into too much trouble. “I heard, not a quiet one, Mr D.” He said lightly, “sometimes I’m surprised that the outside world doesn’t hear him.” He set his things down, flexing his fingers lightly, knowing he ought to make sure he hadn’t hurt himself on the tower, but finding himself instead sitting- and letting himself relax. It wasn’t like he was going out on any quests or jobs. “Wonder whats going on, why is there more quests happening after earlier? Seems really strange.” he mused, before sighing. “Well, I suppose we won’t know the answers.” Shaking his head, Pierre ran his fingers through his hair a little wearily. “Well, I guess we’ll just have to keep things interesting in camp.”
[row] [sup]
▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅ ▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅
[/sup] [/row][row] [cell]______________________________________ [/cell] [cell]

[sup]______________________________________________________________________________________[/sup] [sup]Location: big house[/sup] [sup]Interactions:Dionysus ([@Vicier]) and everyone at the big house [/sup] [sup]______________________________________________________________________________________[/sup][/cell] [/row]
Michael didn’t think he’d spoken loud enough for anyone to hear, and he ducked his head slightly in embarrassment, first his outburst this morning at the tower, now this… He shouldn’t let his emotions get the better of him, not if he was to keep his wits about him. Particularly on a quest. Which, despite the unlikeliness of it, he was going on. What was worse was that Mr D had, in fact, got his name right. Which was, rarely, a good thing. It didn’t seem like he had displeased the God, but you could never be too sure with Dionysus. You could think you had escaped unscathed, and then he’d get you. He didn’t realise he was holding his breath until Mr D made it clear they were dismissed, and he let it out slowly before making his way out of the big house- but paused a moment, not sure what to do. He assumed they’d meet up at the stables, or the tower grounds. Some place common. He hesitated for a few seconds, before starting back to the cabin he shared with is siblings. He doubted he’d be able to take Moe with him- the big dog simply wasn’t anything but conspicuous. Part of that was Michael’s fault- he needed to get into the dogs training, but always seemed to get distracted by other things. The big fluffy goof ball would just have to stay behind on this mission. And Michael would feel better about leaving if Moe was there, to give his siblings and the camp some extra protection if needed. Things just didn’t seem to be right, a little bit of…. Wrongness all around them. And clumsy though Moe was, he could be ferocious when people he cared about were in danger. Much like Michael himself. He wasn’t surprised when the big dog came trotting up happily, tail wagging as if he’d been called for food. Running his hand through the dogs fur, Michael took some comfort from the dogs presence as he turned towards the Athena cabin, thinking on what he would need. There were many good things about being a child of Athena, perhaps the most useful when leaving the camp was the mere fact he could pack light and adjust to any weapon he acquired on the go. Moving to his room, Michael grabbed his backpack, and methodology began to pack it, grabbing a couple of changes of clothes, paper and writing utensils, the small first aid kit he kept, both for himself and Moe. He paused, thinking on what else he might need. He could stop and get some travel food from the kitchens, and he could stop by the Iris cabin to see about getting access to the communication network. Never leave home without a means to call for help, or have a way back. On that thought, he grabbed his compass, and began to riffle through some papers, frowning slightly. Finally, he came out with a small collection of maps, looking over them before nodding with satisfaction and putting them in the pack. Moe lay over the threshold to his room, and when he rose, tail wagging happily, Michael glanced to the door, watching as Niesha came into view. He turned back to zip up his pack, before turning to her, sliding one strap over his shoulder. “Apparently I’m g-g-going t-to Australia with s-s-ome of t-t-the others on a retrieval.” He said softly, giving a shrug of his shoulders as if it was nothing. Why he had been chosen, he didn’t know. All he was good for was critical thinking- and the only reason he had some skill in fighting was because of what he’d inherited from their mother. “Figured as much, the camp is going to be pretty empty it seems, with a lot of us going on quests.” Niesha said, “You taking Moe?” Michael shook his head, as the big ball of fur wagged his tail faster at hearing his name. “G-Got no idea h-how I’d t-take him w-with. B-buh-better to leave h-him h-here.” He said, leaning down to give the dog a good petting. “B-besides, h-he’s b-better here. It’s all h-he knows.” Michael wasn’t good at lying, and had to hope that his sister, who knew him better than he knew himself, wouldn’t see through his words. He glanced to her, giving her a small smile and a shrug. “T-t-think it’s t-time to p-put the books away, Ness.” “Never thought I’d hear you say that, Mikey. You once said books are life” Niesha said, a little teasingly, and Michael fell silent for a few moments, deep in thought. There were times when Niesha could be surprisingly innocent, despite her tough exterior. She didn’t like letting people in, afraid to lose them… being at the camp was good for the both of them, but there were some things Michael knew they both had to face. “Sometimes we have to do things we’d rather not, Nessie. We can’t be caught unawares because we’d rather be doing what we prefer, then what is necessary.” He said in a soft voice, looking back to his sister. How he wished things could stay the same, even for a little bit. “We have to be what is needed, sometimes.”]/color] And that meant sometimes stepping out of their comfort zone, and…. Perhaps it was time to stop hiding in the shadows. Michael gave Niesha another smile, reaching out to lay a hand on her shoulder for a moment. “D-don’t f-forget to w-walk Moe.” He lay a hand on the dogs head for a moment, “you stay with Nes, Moe.” he told the dog, who seemed a little confused but didn’t follow as Michael started out of the cabin, shrugging the other strap over his arm as he walked.
