Luna Station, thank fuck. Stella breathed a sigh of relief as she stepped off the interstellar transport she'd boarded in the Burnell System, carrying what was left of her possessions in a backpack and a duffle bag. Taking a deep breath of the comparatively fresh station air, she moved down the arrivals dock towards Customs, mentally going over the next steps in her life. "Hmm... lets see, first lodging, then a job. Maybe stop to eat on the way, as long as they don't charge tourist prices..." she muttered to herself while waiting her turn to be processed, before turning to the bored-looking customs agent as he looked up from his computer and took her ID. "Ma'am, do you have anything to declare?" the customs agent asked. "No, but... you probably know this station pretty well. Whats a good place to stay unti-" Stella cut herself off as she saw a crew-needed ad scroll across one of the screens in the hallway just past the customs booth. "On second thought, how do I get to Viewing Dock C-3?" She asked, her relaxed manner completely forgotten as a new opportunity showed itself faster than she had imagined possible. "Um... yes ma'am, its up three levels and ring-ward from here, but I wouldn't get your hopes up to high, those positions tend to fill up real quick. Good luck to you, though." ----------------------------------------------------- Out of breath after her mad dash to find Viewing Dock C-3 and one Captain DeBaker, she rounded the final corner, stopping just outside the door to catch her breath and brush her hair out of her eyes before opening the door to the lounge, hearing "-and see if we can get this ship out of there. I am pretty sure all of you have to come with, because I have to confirm that I have a crew for such a job." as she entered. Stella walked up to the speaker and held out a small folio containing her Pilots License and a summation of her best racing achievements. "Hello, are you Captain DeBaker, and is the Pilots position on your ship still open? I'm Stella Righte and I think my record speaks for itself. I've mostly flown racing ships, both custom and stock, but I certified on all common civilian ship types in training, and it can't be too different. Besides, I spent most of the intersystem trip in sims, freshening up on various ship types." She holds herself with confidence, and the barely repressed energy of a hotshot.
