Dean nodded at Mika’s agreement that the state of the town seemed a bit weird. He couldn’t quite put his finger on what was going on here, other than maybe the towns people didn’t know. Outside of the newspaper article, that half the town probably hadn’t read, they didn’t seem too warned about the situation “Maybe the mayor and his people aren’t coughing up any information to the townsfolk. That basically makes them sitting ducks, live bait…”, he muttered as he thought about the possibilities for the situation. The two situations that came up in his head were the mayor hiding things, or the cops spouting threats to keep things under wraps, to protect someone in town. It was something they would have to look into if they hit a dead end., “Could be the cops…” As the waitress came back to the table, Dean sat back from the edge where he had rested his elbows and smiled, watching his plate land in front of him. His eyebrows raised at how big his burger was, versus Mika’s plate of food and laughed softly. “I think we’re good. I’m good.”, he said with a smile, before putting the burger down on the plate and waving a finger around at the waitress, “On second thought. Pie. Do you have any kind of pie?”
