My biggest problem with writing it up is that I don't want it to feel like I'm writing a character backstory, but when the faction is so closely tied to one particular character, it comes across that way even if I don't want it to. I don't want people to read it and think I'm doing something like "and this is my character and she's so smart and cool and clever that she can rule an entire country just by herself, lololol"
