Backstory: He grew up in the Ozark mountains, living off the grid with his father and mother. Pops was only around ten years of age, when his father was mauled by a black bear sow with three cubs in tow.
Pops hunted down that bear, and had it dead to rights, but he didn't pull the trigger, instead he let her live, and forgave her for killing his Pa.
Eventually, his mother got sick and passed away only a few years later when Pops was thirteen.
Pops never married, nor dated, just stuck to what he wanted to do in life, live off the land and be free of the world's grasp.
Occasionally, he would hire himself out as a hunting guide, but that was a long time ago, and now Pop got his wish, the world he knew of doesn't exist, and he's fine with that.[/b][/hider]
