From head to the tip of his tentacles he measures 60 meters, though his actual body stretches to about 25 meters. His top half looks humanoid, with two arms and three fingers and a thumb on each hand. His skin is the same as his humanoid form: pale blue. His head is humanoid as well, but instead of a mouth he has tentacles (like a beard) with a circular maw nestled between them. He is 'naked' but protected by a stone-like carapace. From his middle down he has eight squid-like tentacles powerful enough to latch onto ships.
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Psychology Likes:
⋆ Serenity ⋆ Ocean ⋆ Dark
Dislikes:
⋆ Sun ⋆ Land ⋆ Civilization
Fears:
⋆ The Unknowable End ⋆ The Ocean-ruining Drought ⋆ The Gods
Sexuality:
None
Personality:
Leviathan is a creature older than the memory of elves. In that time he has rarely sought contact with others, even of his own kin. He is fond of his solitude and zealously protects it. There is little he wants from the surface world. Where everything is flat and boring. This makes them selfish above all. And mean above all. He cares little for others than themself and will not willingly cast themself in danger's way to protect another. With age comes patience. This is a truth not reserved to only the elves. The immortal demons know this as well. Like the ocean, Leviathan can be calm and collected. Even during the most stressful situations. Some who know of them would even say he is utterly devoid of temper. This is untrue. However, his temper does not flare like mortal emotions would permit it. It slumbers eternal. Leviathan holds ageless grudges which he will rectify against a great-grandchild if mortality took the original transgressor. Some would say that makes them patient. This is a misconception. Time flows "different" for Leviathan. Centuries pass in a blink of an eye. While a day can feel like a lifetime to them under the "right" circumstances. His actions are neither brave nor cowardly for he has no concept of either of those options. To them, there simply is and is not. He does not suffer anxiety or nervousness either. However, Leviathan can suffer fear. Which is a rare event indeed. Becuase of all of these things Leviathan can seem to be react slowly to rapidly unfurling events. But he is cunning. Agelessly cunning. In ancient days many ships perished because of him. Taken to the deepest voids of the world by traps the monster had laid years before. Leviathan is, however, not very charismatic. At best he speaks slow and boringly. At worst the sentences he makes are utter gibberish. They have never been inspiring or frightening. Fear he prefers to invoke through his actions. Still, the demon of the deep has a strange, dark, and cruel sense of humor. One that rarely aligns with any other living creature. Many scholars of all races have theorized that Leviathan is actually quite mad. Raving zealots insist that he simply possesses insight beyond that of mortals. Both points are valid. Leviathan is a strange creature, known for bursts of activity before returning to peace for a while again. It’s all adrift in a sea of memories. Some false, some true, some premonitions and some omens. However, he vividly remembers being pulled into a foreign sea some two centuries ago by a force he did not yet know. In those seas he stuck to the depths, making his lair at the bottom of a trench and chasing away any natural life away from it. Leviathan chose to dream and see for the most part there. Though sometimes he felt as if a force was calling him up. Whenever he rose from the depths he did so to answer a storm’s call. Black clouds blotted out the wretched sun. There, on the surface, he often found wayward ships lost in the storm that summoned him. He tore those ships asunder. Leaving nobody alive. The monster of the deep did not know dark or light elves by then. They were all simply peons for him to consume. That changed when the first force, the one that called him into these seas, called him again. Levaithan swam towards Daka. There, on the cliffside, he found a dark elf of immense power. The two exchanged words for what seemed like days. Until the foreign force bound Leviathan to him. Since then, the demon has been laying dormant on the bottom of the ocean. Waiting for the clarion call.
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Combat and Magic: Humanoid form / Monsterous form Strength: 3 / 10+ Speed on Land: 3 / 1 Speed in Air: 0 / 0 Speed in the water: 5 / 7 Magical Ability: 9 / 6 Dexterity: 3 / 7 Weapon Proficiency: 2 / 0 Stealth: 0 / 7 Subspecies:
Demon of the deep
Abilities:
Leviathan's magical power differs between his two forms. As a monster, he bears the title 'Stormcaller', amongst the mortal races. This is somewhat of a misnomer as he does not in fact bring or create actual storms. Subconsciously he can control the waters around him, allowing him to swim much faster than a creature of his size should be able to swim. In an existing storm, his presence will often make it worse. However if the sky is blue with no clouds, he cannot summon a one. As a humanoid, he has a more focused and controlled dominion over water. He can pull it up and cast it around. However, the effects compared to his monstrous form are very limited. However, he claims that as a humanoid he is closer in touch with the Dark Moon. Not the Halastrian Moon but a third one. Unseen except for those who have the Sight. A sight not given by eyes but by visions. Whether this 3rd moon truly exists or not is unprovable, but Leviathan insists that it gives him visions. Visions from the possible pasts, presents, and futures. Possible, being the keyword. For he might see visions of a past that never was or a future that cannot come to pass. It doesn't help that he words his "insights" in insane manners, often sounding like a rambling lunatic.
