In his youth, the only thing that stood out about him was his incredible stature. This boy possessed a body that could have been deemed perfect, and while attending a Sumo class for children, his talent was scouted. If it was for the sake of supporting his family and hometown, there was no question he would travel as far as needed and hone his skills. As a wrestler, he was nicknamed "Raiden," meaning "thunderbolt," for his incredible swiftness and record-time victories. Before long, that name would ring out across all of Japan. He became known as a man who would not be defeated. For political reasons, he was never promoted to the highest rank of Yokozuna. However, that was not his concern. Even if he was not recognized by the Sumo Association, he was recognized by the people. Today, that man is still known as the greatest in Sumo. Personality He'll carry the pride of a star athlete to the very end. It's not a matter of being conceited. He simply feels the weight of the people's expectations and responds accordingly, maintaining a "cool" code of conduct no matter what. Even if he showboats a little, it's all for the sake of the people who matter to him. If his Master ordered him to do something like murder an innocent child to extract magical energy, he would unquestionably aim to tear off that magus' arm before they could use a command seal, then crush their skull. However, as long as he can find even a single reason to respect his Master, he will entrust them with his back and promise them victory with a smile. Unexpectedly, it seems he takes the idea of concealing his identity quite seriously. Manifesting a spear, wearing slightly more than just a mawashi, and appearing in a younger body from before he cut his hair and gained 200 pounds... These things are all a result of Raiden's keen interest in not being recognized, or so it seems. Parameters ◇ Strength B+ ◇ Agility A ◇ Endurance C ◇ Mana D ◇ Luck A Class Skill[s]s[/s] ◇ Magic Resistance (D): Protection that negates hostile spells and magical effects below a certain rank. At such a low rank, only a single-action spell can be cancelled. Personal Skills ◇ Mind's Eye (True) (B): The capacity to detect and avoid danger in battle while pushing onward to victory. Not a supernatural sixth sense or innate talent--simply applied combat experience. Raiden, who fought in 35 tournaments and sought out countless other bouts in his free time, is constantly predicting his enemy's movements. Even if the chance of winning is only 1%, he will grasp it. ◇ Natural Body (A-): The possession of a perfect body as a living being since birth. Even as a young boy, it was Raiden's incredible physique and stature which caused him to be noticed by Urakaze. As a Servant, he can temporarily add a plus modifier to his STR. However, the function of this Skill to "prevent weight gain regardless of lifestyle choices" has been sealed for Raiden. While a spirit has no need of food, he would definitely end up with "a physique more fitting for Sumo" if given access to an all-you-can-eat buffet. ◇ Showmanship (Combat) (A): The ability to display an overwhelming charisma and sense of style in combat. With his words and actions, there's no way Raiden will ever fail to get a crowd on his side during a match. At rank A, it can develop into something of a feedback loop in which being perceived by others, even enemies, leads to an increase in power, which draws more attention in turn. Even if anyone else would say "the most efficient way is always the best way," Raiden disagrees, and never budges on the issue. He won't settle for just getting things done like a normal person, but the success rate of his actions in combat is somehow ridiculously high as a result. ◇ Ōzumō (A++): Mastery of Sumo-style wrestling at the highest level. Flips, throws, grabs, etc. If Raiden is legendary for anything, it is for his mastery of this art, and the supreme rank of this skill reflects that fact. Because the objective in this case is to kill the enemy rather than force them to the mat or outside the ring, it may not be recognizable to some, but Sumo is still Sumo--it's just a matter of the Grail War being a no-holds-barred affair. Since that's the case, he'll even use the Ultimate Finisher Moves that were forbidden by the Sumo Association during his fights. In the end, though, it's not like Sumo is an efficient method of defeating an opponent when compared to other martial arts. No, it is a ceremony for the blessings of the gods. It is a ceremony for the blessings of the people. There is no better way of fighting. At this rank, it is equal parts fighting style and divine protection. As long as Sumo runs through his veins, Raiden will never lose. His mind, spirit, and fortune remain utterly unshakable. Noble Phantasms ☆ Peerless Raijin Storm Like Lightning in the Ring Rank: A Type: Anti-Unit (Self) Range: 0 Targets: 1 Description: When it came to Raiden's victories, there were some who blinked and missed them. He is the one who was called a thunderbolt. A god of lightning. There can be no doubt that the title was deserved. He may not have been born with any divinity or blessing, but if the people of Japan cry out for a thunderstorm, he'll never disappoint the crowd. In its sealed state, this Noble Phantasm appears as a long spear of brilliant white iron. The fact that he carries this "thunderbolt" in his hands is the sole reason why Raiden was able to enter into the Lancer class. Despite obviously never being recorded as using a spear in his matches, it seems that he's quite comfortable using this weapon. It is nothing more than a crystallization of his fame and prowess, after all. He is able to seamlessly incorporate it as a finisher for his Sumo techniques, and it is even possible to deal additional electrical damage when striking with it. However, that is not the proper way to use this Noble Phantasm. The only reason Raiden would ever wield that spear is for the sake of concealing his identity. The weapon is nothing more than a shell to contain the power that dwells within Raiden's own body. Once this Noble Phantasm is released, the pale imitation of a thunderbolt will vanish, and true lightning will course through his body, drawing out the incredible power and speed that made this man into a legend. If his travelling speed were compared to the greatest here of the Trojan War, he would definitely come out two or three steps behind, but Raiden will never stop pushing forwards. The thunder and lightning can run wild, making it possible to deal partial damage with a missed attack, or hurl bolts of electricity at distant foes. Of course, it's necessary to fight bare-handed once this effect is active, but that's anything but a problem for Raiden, whose lightning-filled limbs could clash against the strongest holy sword if he needed them to. With his name engraved in hearts across Japan, that farmer's son from Tōmi could even crush a monster from the Age of Gods. Even if her family's state was mediocre from the start, it seemed that Fiore's life was filled with blessings from an early age. She was talented, smart, and lucky, with inexplicably strong magic circuits. Between herself and her brother, Caules, it was clear which one of them had the capabilities to carry on the family's crest within the greater clan. This fact was set in stone when, at a young age, Caules' magic circuits malfunctioned, leaving him paralyzed from the waist down. It was something that could only be cured at the cost of stripping him of his abilities as a magus, and yet... "You're not the one who's carrying our family's hope, so why..?" She definitely had that thought whenever she looked at him, even if she was never able to say it. While Fiore progressed, Caules was at her side, following alone as a third-rate magus to the end. It was something she could never understand. Their plans, their home. All were eventually shattered. Darnic's words about a future for their clan were snuffed out by force, and many lives were lost. Caules had been among them. The Mystic Code she had built in order to make up for his paralysis hadn't been enough, and he had been slaughtered trying to protect that scheming old man. When it became clear that Yggdmillenia had been hiding the Grail with plans to succeed from the Mage's Association, the survivors were made to bow their heads, forsake their names, and swear off their clan. The various magi who had made up its ranks dispersed, with no other choice than to let their individual families fade away over the coming generations. Yggdmillenia was dead, and yet... There were still a few who turned to the second-in-command with hope in their eyes. For the ones they have lost, and for the ones still fighting, they weren't finished yet. Neither was she. Personality A kind and polite sort of magus, at least in terms of voice and expression. If there was one thing she lacked in comparison to her brother, it was the "heart" of a mage. In the end, her willingness to make sacrifices is low. Not that any of that matters now. As a result of the current circumstances, the question of whether or not she is the right person for the job is irrelevant. She's already standing here, after all, and she can only move forwards. A resolve exists that was not present in the timeline of Fate/Apocrypha. Regarding her feelings on the mages following her, they are a bit out-of-sync. For Fiore, this battle is not about her pride as a Yggdmillenia, or fulfilling her family's dream. It's much more personal than any of that. Magical Information Quality of Circuits: B+ (Exceedingly high affinity with spirits.) Quantity of Circuits: B Elemental Affinity: Earth Attribute: Dwelling General Knowledge: Everything basic that a magus should be expected to know. Since most of this falls outside her field of highest effectiveness, Fiore's aptitude for it is average at best, but she's been grinding away to sharpen her skills all the same. Spiritual Evocation (Eulyphis): The pride of the Forvedge. Summoning of spiritual beings and instigation of spiritual possession. In this single field, Fiore is an abnormal monster whose mind seems to soar higher with each passing moment. Rather than allowing a spirit to possess her directly, Fiore primarily uses spells to house them within objects, most notably Mystic Codes. There are various other uses, such as acquiring lingering memories and binding or banishing spirits. Mystic Code Engineering: Capable of crafting various sorts of items, primarily out of metal, Fiore puts a combination of practical and magical knowledge to use to assemble various tools and weapons. Highly efficient under pressure, but spirits are always required as the lynchpin of a design. Alchemy: Transmutation and flow of matter. Not a field for which Fiore has high aptitude, but she learned some all the same. Acquiring a broad range of knowledge from different foundations is the only point of joining Clan Yggdmillenia, after all. At this level, it isn't good for much other than meddling with simple chemical processes and reshaping metal for ease of construction during various projects. Mystic Codes Bronze-Link Manipulator (Branches): An exoskeletal mecha-armor. It consists of six prosthetic arms equipped to Fiore's back. An incredibly high-level combat Mystic code that can automatically deflect attacks while simultaneously firing bolts of mana or slashing and crushing at close-range. Originally designed by her for someone who lacked working legs, it is naturally more useful when one is capable of standing unassisted and letting all six arms take an active role. Modified and improved after Caules' death, four of its arms contain animal spirits, while the other two contain the spirits of vicious killers. In other words, the former favour quick reactions and defence while the latter possess more complex offensive movements and precise attacks. At this point, it is more than a match for that Supreme Mystic Code of flowing mercury under most circumstances. Bronze-Link Manipulator (Roots): Something Fiore was working on, not finished in time for her brother to ever see it. A counterpart to the six arms: a centaur-like hexapedal extension to the lower body. Rather than being useful in combat, the Roots' strong point is overland mobility. Modern cars couldn't even compare. Overflowing with animal spirits, it is a Mystic Code that carries an urge to run like no other. Even a Heroic Spirit might lose in a footrace to Fiore, at least when it comes to energy-efficient long-distance travel. While obviously inferior to the Branches when it comes to battle, it does have defensive functions, as well as a single canon. As a siege-type weapon, its individual heavy shots are somewhat superior to the rapid fire of the Branches, at least when it comes to bringing down defences. Sky-Glass Blue Receiver: Mystic Code to be worn over the eyes. Appears as a pair of silver goggles, but it seems that the silver sections were added onto a base object: a pair of bifocals with one lens cracked. Contains the spirit of a magus who was once the item's owner. That spirit itself is unremarkable, but for some reason Fiore seems to have worked quite hard to make it useful. While worn, the lowest level of Spiritual Evocation magecraft is activated on an exceedingly large scale. The most minor spirits, those of insects and vermin, are contacted en-masse to serve as a city-wide information network, passing along data to be received by the user. Because of the limited intellect those spirits possess, there are various systems in place to make the information as useable as possible, interpreting it from the basic sensations of bugs and rats. Auxiliary Squad "Musik Notes": Not something of Fiore's own making--although she did give them their designation when they arrived in Japan. This support squad, sent from a certain family allied with Fiore's interests, consists of a dozen homunculi. Among them, 8 are built for physical superiority and armed with medieval-style weaponry mystic codes, 3 are equipped with high-level magic circuits and simple magecraft such as "repair" and "break", while the last is something special. This final homunculus contains the pieces of a pair of subspecies Lesser Grails, and has already been aligned in advance with the Fuyuki Greater Grail's systems. In other words, it is a chance to sweep the ritual out from beneath the Einzbern's feet. Realm Seed "Irminsul": An ultimate weapon, conceptualized a century ago and completed vengefully after the fall of Yggdmillenia. The spirits of numerous slain magi writhe within, their hatred growing with each passing day. For now, it is something that can be easily transported, and functions as a sort of composite repository of knowledge and a magical energy reactor. The thaumaturgical foundations of various foundations are held within, and can theoretically be accessed and activated with high effectiveness. That utility is hardly the point, however. When it is finally allowed to germinate, it will become a weapon that usurps the land and magical preparations from an enemy, using the processing power of the Yggdmillenia magi to analyze a workshop and take control of it. Functionally an "offensive siege weapon", it was assembled with the Three Families in mind, particularly the Second Owner's control of Miyama town. Once control of the surrounding terrain has been wrested from the enemy and their defences have been deactivated or inverted, Irminsul will begin drawing tremendous amounts of mana from the ground, functioning as a highly destructive ether cannon capable of annihilating a workshop. Perhaps she believes this is what they would have wanted. Nonmagical Assets Clan Yggdmillenia Remnants (Support): Like any communication device, it's the people on the other end that give this phone its value. It's not like these are the only survivors of the clan's fall. Rather, this is a combination of those who truly felt loyalty to one another, and those whose families were in such a sorry state that they would be doomed if not for this last hope. A number of such families have secretly pledged their support to Fiore in the hope that she can reclaim what was lost and bring glory to Yggdmillenia once more. To that end, any number of them might be contacted with requests for various support items, although they can't afford to travel to Fuyuki themselves under current circumstances. Whoever they might be, they've staked their hopes and dreams on Fiore's plan. She won't let them down, and they'll offer her the same courtesy.
