Dean Winchester, Annabeth, and Bobby Singer
Dean couldn’t help but roll his eyes, and wipe a frustrated hand down his face as Castiel rambled detailed responses to the references the group made. Working with angels was going to be a blast, especially this one. Castiel was the driest person Dean had ever met, and didn’t understand a lick of humor, something that Dean normally would actively avoid. “You’ll find out, the longer you stay with us…family is a bit different, around here. We take in people who need help. We keep them around. We take care of them. That’s family.”, Dean explained, genuinely trying to explain to Castiel that he didn’t mean ‘blood family’. He had to admit that the little trench coat wrapped child with wings was amusing. However, Dean raised his eyebrows at Cas’ words about Annabeth. Dean had already heard a bit of the information from Cason, back when he first met Anna, but considering he had known of Anna for years, and she and Sam had come back together like opposite sides of a magnet, snapping back into place as if they had never left each other, Dean couldn’t help but wonder if part of it was manipulation. The thought caused his stomach to twist into a knot as Cas continued, speaking of the demon blood, which Dean had NOT been told about. Anna barely looked at Castiel, before sinking back behind Sam, not able to meet Dean’s eyes. He had just started coming around to the idea of her staying around, and now this…The odds of Dean not throwing an absolute fit to get her out were low. “Demon blood? Sam, did you know about this?”, Dean snapped, his eyes suddenly burning into his brother’s face as he stared at him, and then glanced down to Anna. He didn’t have much time to discuss it with Sam, before Castiel continued, and Dean simply gave Sam a ‘we’ll talk about this later’ glare. Dean’s attention dropped from his brother’s face to Castiel’s hand as he pulled a note and handed it to him. Staring at the information on the note, Dean raised his eyebrows, “So, we just go here…find whatever freaky thing is going on and stop it, and no seal pops? That sounds easy enough. Right guys?” He looked around to everyone in the room, knowing that they would be just as overwhelmed as himself, but he needed backup. He needed to know he wasn’t alone, and reassurance that they were at least coming with him. Bobby stood finally, having been quiet while Dean dealt with the angel. Dean was the only one that Castiel was technically supposed to protect, from what Bobby gathered from his body language and even his use of his powers around Dean. The last thing he wanted to do was get in between an angel and a demon that he wasn’t quite sure they should even be working with. He walked over to the table, and snatched the sticky note from Dean’s hands, his eyes trailing up to Castiel, “What’s the seal? A little more information might help us get to it faster…” Bobby stepped over to the fridge and pulled out a beer for Dean, one for Castiel if he wanted it, and one for himself, before signaling to Nat, “Sweetheart, there’s more in the garage if any of you want one. This is gonna be a hell of a day.” Dean eagerly took the beer from Bobby’s hand, and took Castiel’s too, opening it and handing it to the angel. For Dean, offering Castiel a beer was a sign that he didn’t mind his company, as long as he was chill., “Drink up…”
