Mika knew deep down that she probably shouldn't have said anything to him about how Nick treated her, but she figured it would come out eventually and it wasn't like he bit her. Sure, it was utterly disgusting and how he said he had never tasted a human quite like her before which utterly unnerved her to say the least, but it was just a lick. "Yup but hey, could have been worse" she replied to him as she watched him pull his food toward himself. As he asked her if she really was okay, she smiled and nodded. "I'm fine, black eye and a headache but nothing major. But don't worry about not getting to me any sooner. I figured you'd probably have to find a car to hijack or something similar to get there. The fact you even got to me is all I care about" she reassured him, trying to make him feel less guilty about taking the time he did in getting to her. She knew deep down that she wouldn't have gotten there any quicker if the roles were reversed and she had to steal a car to get to the destination in time. She may not have seen on his face how gutted he truly felt, but she could easily get an idea just because of how close they were. She opened her box and picked up her now cold burger, taking a bite into it. "I'm just glad that I'm back with you to be honest, and that you managed to shoot that bastard at least once. Shifting aside, he creeped me the hell out" she told him.
