Dean stopped eating for a moment when she brushed off the inevitable black eye and the headache she was already dealing with. The thought of her being injured in any way while he could sit in front of her completely fine made him want to nuke the planet. Sure, he was possessive. But he was also protective, and his protective mode was on high alert now, as he took a bite. “Well. I’m here. And they’re not going to touch you again. They gotta go through me, this time…cowards.”, he grumbled as he took another bite and stared across at her. He was honestly not satisfied with only shooting her captor once, as he had taken her to get Dean there, in hopes of killing two hunters. Luckily for them, Dean was pretty good on his toes when he was upset. He scoffed, though at her words, knowing that she was in pain, but she felt safe with him. It was all he wanted. It was honestly the only thing he cared about, and it had always been that way. There were times when he was with his dad that he worried about whether Bobby could protect her like he could. Sure, Bobby was a competent hunter, but he wasn’t ruthless, like Dean could be. Dean smirked, “Well, I guess I am the white knight this time, for once. And you didn’t get eaten by a giant dog. So, do we win this one? Regardless of outcome?”
