On their way, Vrexen muttered to himself while also keeping several feet distance from both Myra and Astra. The marsh covered ground between the cave and the port was easily traversed, but the three were forced to navigate around several military encampments, which were likely defensive ground units for the army and support units for the navy. Regardless, they were well equipped with armor, weapons, and purpose during this cold summer day on the island of Daka. Vrexen winced at every face he saw, as each one only haunted his urge for violence. There were so many ways to kill, and he was thinking of all them. He wanted to do... all of them. [sub]“Slow, swiiiiift, bludgeoning, sssssstabbing, gutting, beheading, immmpaling, yes. Drowning, choking, eating, crushing, disssssssmemmmmberment…”[/sub] He kept his head down as he muttered to himself with his eyes wide and his teeth bared. Vrexen tried to hold it all back, but it was simply too much. He yearned to spill blood and he yearned for it now! It was hard not to notice Vrexen's strange behavior as he twitched, growled, and deeply scratched parts of his body between his mumblings. Rather than address Vrexen, Astra looked at Myra, with an eyebrow raised. She shot a quick nod in Vrexen’s direction as they all walked along the port. She lowered her posture so she could keep her voice hushed. “Is he well? Actually, that’s a bad question. Are we well? Like I knew he was a bit troubled in the head and I am always up for an adventure, but I am not ready to die as an elf that didn’t finish a century. I mean, I’m brimming with potential.” Astra, was not aware of Myra having limited speech and just figured the demon was a bit timid. [sub]“Rip… tear… gouge… flay… crack… pierce… gnaw… drench in blood… eat alive… leave them bloody…”[/sub] He muttered. Astra had only picked up one or two words, but that was enough for her to continue addressing Myra in a hushed tone. “What is he even saying? Actually, how did you two even meet? If you’re asking me, based on first impressions, you are way out of his league. Girl, I mean the only thing you both have in common is the not wearing clothes thing, but I’ve run into a few fae folk that are just as liberated as you are and I think I can hook you up… Well… Actually, I have to mend a few things here and there with them, BUT the offer is there.” Astra glanced at Vrexen again. They could NOT get on a vessel with him behaving like that. Not only would he raise unneeded questions her way, but Astra was not comfortable stowing away on a ship with no escape while he was like this. Perhaps she could work with Myra and simply lose the demon but he claimed to have her scent, so that was a gamble. [sub]“I must kill someone… something. I must… I must.”[/sub] “Oi! Grab that fucken’ slave! Someone fucken’ grab ‘em!” A dark elf screamed as a light elf captive ran for his life down the port. He used his magic to desperately make himself invisible. It was possibly one of the most useful skills to light elves when a situation called for stealth or escape. It was a skill learned through practice in it rather than aging up to being able to do it. Deliberate and effective was this skill that fooled the eyes of any Avalian. The light elf sprinted down the port, split between deciding whether or not to jump into the frigid waters or take his chances on land where he could run into more of the darkness0 weaving elves that captured him in the first place. The latter was wise as the former would only limit him physically. Also the bending of the light around him would fail once he dove under the water as he was not skilled enough to adjust his cloaking so easily. His pursuers couldn’t see him and he was swift. Damn swift. He was all but a breeze as he ran past Astra. He was all but an opportunity as he ran into Vrexen’s sharp claws. Lifting the shocked light elf by the claws stabbed deep within the light elf’s gut caused Vrexen look up at his catch and flash a toothy grin. “Yessssss… YES!” Vrexen’s body mass increased, growing well over twice his size with his appearance being much more ferocious than before. His clawed fingers buried deep within the light elf extended to the point of impaling through his torso. “Hahahahahahahahaha! I SAW YOU!” The light elf coughed up blood that splattered onto Vrexen’s already red face wearing a terrifying grin. “Tear…” Like a ragdoll, the light elf was nearly torn in half as his head and neck favored his left side more than his right. Blood sprayed and spurted from his body causing anyone around to back up even more than they had after Vrexen increased his size. One half of the corpse flew into the water with a splash, while the other fell onto the wooden port with a thud while leaking blood. “For fucksake!” Astra got behind Myra just in case she needed her as a buffer between herself and the now cackling Vrexen. The dark elf slaver called his loss, and turned away so he could use the situation as a means of deterring others from attempting escape. “We got demons on our side now! Try an’ run. Try won’t you!” The slaver yelled to about a dozen shackled prisoners being removed from the slave ship that would supply the Malthemoor markets. Just as quickly as his body grew, Vrexen shrunk back down to his normal size. He raised one of his claws up towards his face and casually licked a bit of the blood off them. His demeanor was calm. As calm as when Myra had first met him in the wilderness. Astra on the other hand just stared at half the body on the port with a sickened look on her face. “Vrexen?” She addressed him nervously as he appeared to have calmed down. She wore an uneasy smile, just to be sure he remained that way. “Yes, Astra.” He replied evenly. “Would you please do us the honor of… removing that half of the corpse, maybe? Toss it in the water so it can be with its other half? I’m not telling you what to do. I just think it would help us gain favor with many of the sailors here at the port. Then we can travel comfortably to the River Fairy Kingdom and then I can see you to your kin. How ‘bout that? Right, Myra?”
