After the previous mission he felt was a failure with Batman reinforcing it as such to his squad, Viktor decided to do something very different. He went to speak to Black Canary. Yes, Viktor sought out what he would call “introspective guidance”. It was totally NOT counseling. Try. That is what he summed up most of his single hour long session from the experienced leaguer. And so he did. He cut out some of his physical training to do wood carving in order to take his mind off of the previous mission and the eventual next. He let himself be open minded to Zach including him into his online magic performance for the subscribers. And lastly, he decided to go against the rules in order to experience the “nightlife” with Alisa. If he was being honest with himself, trying different went somewhat well. His negative thoughts of both the results of the mission and the performance of his teammates he blamed for its failure had not lingered. Viktor managed to bond with Zach and give him a well deserved compliment on his magical talents. And lastly, though he and Alisa wound up wrecking the jeep, breaking her curfew, attempted to get into a bar, and getting punished for their actions, Viktor learned a lot about her and himself that night while just doing something for the enjoyment of it with a friend, regardless of rules set in place. Talon, he kept at a distance. It was only a matter of time before the two traded blows. It almost felt inevitable, and part of Viktor desired it. Was it competition or simply animosity at this point? Maybe they’d soon find out. When it came to the loss of his teammates, it had not impacted him like it might have impacted the others. It was a combination of Viktor’s cold nature and his not so established bonds with the two. The mission briefing was delivered by Batman just like previously, this time he was physically present. It shouldn’t have seemed any different, but it did. Him being there caused Viktor to almost instinctively analyze his very being. Every movement, change in inflexion, and of course, who he focused his attention on. To Viktor, everything the dark knight did came across as deliberate. The mission was more unconventional than the last. This time it was the infiltration of Haly’s CIrcus. He’d been to one of their shows, but he couldn’t clearly remember it. It was so long ago, and he’d gone only once but he was sure it was enjoyable. Zach piping up and volunteering to be the leader for this mission, caused Viktor’s eyebrows to raise at the sudden initiative.. Playing to his strengths… good. Viktor simply gave Zach a thumbs up when offered the role of being his assistant. To him, it meant he could possibly split his attention between investigating the mysterious seller of the chemical component for Kobra’s weapon and Zach’s act. And then they appeared. The replacements for Casper and Felix. Hex and Goldrush. The first to appear was a female of Asian descent wielding a katana, Maya Kobayashi or Demonslayer. Her handling of her weapon, albeit flashy, also demonstrated the level of comfort she had with it. It couldn’t have been all for show if she was chosen by the Justice League, but he didn’t agree with all of the decisions they made, so there was still room for doubt. Like he had done with everyone else, he would assess her. As far as her attitude, she seemed to be as outspoken as… Zach. He wasn’t sure if that was good or bad, but just something to note. Next to appear was not as flashy, just a whole lot louder. Blonde and… insulting, Bex or She-Devil as Batman had helped to introduce her. She was interesting. Viktor couldn’t really get a read on her except that she was very different from the rest of the team. Outspoken, unfiltered, and rude. I wonder how she’ll mesh with the rest as there is no one truly like her. Talon? No, he only despises me… Ja when he is off[? Hard to say. Daphne approaching Bex to greet her, was a sign for him to approach Alisa. He did not want to watch Bex socially destroy Daphne, whether it was verbal or not. “Any ideas on what you’ll perform?” Viktor asked, slightly curious, but really just trying to shift his focus from an interaction he predicted going south.
