Caelan watched Sophie pause to move to the side, so he also stopped in his tracks. She ended up conversing with a pixie, which was pretty bewildering to see for someone as high as him. He simply stared as the exchange happened. However, then the sound of stomping and crashing trees quickly sobered him up. He looked over to see a huge beast coming toward them.

He did not think at that moment. He heard Rosaria’s voice calling to him dimly in the background and was able to make out the gist of her command. His instincts told him to run just as she had. Pure adrenaline burst through him and he bolted for Sophie, picking her up onto his shoulder and yanking her from Rosaria’s grasp. The earth cracked beneath his feet as he ran, telling her quickly, [color=FF8E00] “We gotta go, Sophie, let me know if it is getting too close!”[/color]
