[indent]Hardly a typical 22-year-old woman, Flick Cavier can almost be described as cutting an imposing figure. Unable to keep still, she fidgets almost incessantly, whether it be bouncing her foot to the beat of a tune only she can hear, to peeling the leather off the seats in the back of someone else's car. Tomboyish, she looks like she went through that particular teenage girl phase and hasn't quite grown out of it yet.

At five foot eight Flick is relatively tall for a young woman, and her surprisingly muscular shoulders, biceps and altogether fit form don't help the image. Her hair is cut relatively short, from habit and laziness rather than preference, although she usually takes the time to style it in the morning. 

Flick will be the first to admit that she is a gym rat, and her impressive physique is testimony to that. Lean and toned, there is clearly not a spare ounce of fat on her frame. With abs that would make a sculptor weep she is the wet dream of any and every PR manager seeking to promote a gym wear brand.[/indent]

[indent]A cheerfully self-described asshole, Flick takes everything in her stride. Outwardly outgoing and friendly, she greets new people with a smile and a grin. Though not the most academic of individuals, she has a quick wit and certainly makes up for her lack of study skills with what might even be called street smarts. Usually.

Instructors have noted that Flick is cocky and even sometimes reckless, preferring to throw herself into a situation and then thinking about it later. This has gotten her into just as much trouble as it has gotten her out of, if not more. It extends to most aspects of her life, and she is prone to impulsive decisions, whether it be buying clothes, drinking too much or starting fights.

Raised in a single parent household, Flick has a complicated relationship with authority. Between wanting to impress and struggling to respect it, she can be a difficult individual for superiors to deal with. She has deep seated abandonment issues, and a tendency to hold just a little too tight and be a little too eager to please those she cares about. [/indent]

[b]▼ SKILLS/TALENTS:[/b]
[indent]Flick is more than just a pretty face, and her physique is not simply due to good genetics. She has a good understanding of nutrition and exercise, with a little more training she could probably have a good shot at being a personal trainer. Her success is shown through her own appearance, and through that of a few friends that have accepted her offers of help, though they find her a stern taskmaster.

THeir engagement in fitness and sport, as well as her natural aggression, has also lead to Flick thriving in the self-defence classes offered at the Academy. Her instructors put her forward to more advanced self-defence classes in which her skills prospered. As such, she is a more than competent hand to hand fighter, with experience in a number of martial arts.

If it's not clear enough from her physique, Flick is generally athletic, displaying a knack for sports and most physical diversions. She has naturally good balance and co-ordination to take to sport easily, and enough experience in a wide variety to pick virtually any up with surprising ease. [b]▼ BACKSTORY:[/b]
[indent]Flick's father left when she was seven, old enough to know him, and young enough for it to have a deep emotional effect that far belied the apparently small action. He's never been a particularly present father, so she hadn't known him well, and his leaving was more a matter of him stopping visiting entirely. Her mother raised her alone.

Though clearly athletically gifted, Flick was in many other ways challenging, none more so than when her abilities manifested. It occurred unusually early on, only shortly after her father failed to appear for her birthday, and then for anything else ever again. Manifesting at any time can be a frightening occasion for the individual in question, but Flick was only seven, and suddenly hearing people say things without moving their lips, sometimes cruel and hurtful things. Naturally this was discovered in the playground, when Flick knocked three teeth out of another child's head and burnt two others for saying something about her missing father.

FAMA immediately registered her, though beyond that no formal action was taken, her young age being seen as enough of a justification to leave her and her mother be, albeit with a stern warning and several pamphlets about raising a young metahuman.

Unfortunately it made things very difficult for the two person family, and Flick was treated alternately with hate and fear. One of only a handful of deltas in her small town, Flick found other ways to pass the time. She'd always been athletic, and once she was old enough to attend, it was easy enough to extend that talent to the gym. Instead of hanging out with friends she spent her time researching nutrition online, instead of spending time at the mall, she spent it on the treadmill or lifting weights. It was lonely, but it was a life. Unfortunately, the gym would prove not to be a a safe haven for too much longer. The clientele were not particularly happy with the town's most public deltahuman training in their gym, and began a concerted effort to push her out, which she resisted. It wasn't until she finally lost her temper that she was banned from the gym after chopping a weight bench and three treadmills in half.

One ride home in a squad car, police report and FAMA visit later and she was packed off to Academy 002. Not many in the small town missed her, and despite the fact that her mother still lives there, Flick isn't thrilled about the idea of going back there now that she has graduated.[/indent][/indent][/hider][hider=Power Evaluation][color=turquoise]Accessing Power Evaluation

[indent]Flick possesses the ability to generate seven hard light rings about herself, interlocking and shifting at different rates and speeds. As they do it is possible to gain glimpses of Flick through the interlocking rings, but this becomes harder and harder as they move faster and glow brighter. With all seven rings active they form a forcefield that is near-impervious to mundane approaches and many metahuman energies, they can shield Flick from a car, bullets, pretty much anything short of an anti-tank round. These rings can apparently pass through the ground that Flick is walking on and any objects she chooses to pick up, but will prevent the ingress of threats.

Then there is the other aspect of her power. Flick can release each energy ring, one at a time, to devastating effect. Released from Flick's orbit, the rings gain energy, heat and velocity near instantly, changing from a forcefield into a powerful energy attack that can cut through steel.[/indent]

[b]▼ LIMITS:[/b]
[indent]Seven rings and that's it. Once they are gone it takes Flick sometime to generate them again, and she cannot generate them while part way through her store, she must generate from scratch, and doing so takes her a few moments of concentration. Without the rings she has no other defences. Using a ring removes it from her store of energy until she can rebuild the entire store. Similarly, attacks of sufficient power can simply destroy a ring. Losing a ring in this way has a more detrimental effect on Flick than if she had used it as an attack or dismissed it herself.[/indent]

[b]▼ WEAKNESSES:[/b]
[indent]The protective effect of Flick's rings becomes reduced with each ring she loses. While losing or using one or two rings would have little effect on the efficacy of her protection, losing four or more starts to leave gaps in the interlocking and spinning shield, gaps which can be penetrated by any form of attack.
