Esme Stirling
Esme slept peacefully during the drive. She didn’t twitch or talk in her sleep like she had been the last few times she had slept. The most she did was nuzzle into the jacket she was using as her pillow in her sleep. She was unaware of Cason stopping at the roadblock they had come upon, but started to wake at the sound of an unfamiliar voice talking to Cason. By the time Cason said they were in a hurry, she was coming more out of her sleep, but was still groggy and only caught the word traitor from whoever Cason was talking to. Lifting her head from the jacket, it fell into her lap as she blinked the sleep from her eyes. She didn’t have time to react as an officer pulled Cason from the driver's seat, then her door opened and another officer reached in and grabbed her. “What the…… Let me go!” she yelled groggily as he pulled her out and held her against his chest with a laugh. In her groggy state, she didn’t have time to fight back, only flinch and tense up at the touch. She closed her eyes tight and shook her head to shake away the grogginess just as she heard Cason tell them not to hurt her, do what they wanted to him, and that Dean would come for her. Esme closed her eyes tighter for a moment. Hearing the words from the officer, she opened her eyes and sighed inwardly as she struggled to get out of his grip, but he only held her tighter against his chest and laughed. “Struggling is pointless, Blondie.” he hissed in her ear, which caused her to tense more and another laugh to come from him. “Shut up!” she snapped. As she continued to struggle, she watched as the other officer put a bag over Cason’s head and pulled him towards one of the police cars nearby. Her eyes lifted from Cason to the officer dragging him to the police car, that’s when she noticed his eyes were black and she clenched her fits. Esme looked around, noticing there were a few others around, and clenched her teeth. They’re all demons. How do I get myself into these messes? she thought to herself as she felt a pit in her stomach. She tried to reach for the knife on her hip, but couldn’t reach it with the way he had her arms pinned at her sides. She couldn’t throw her head back and bust his mouth with her head, because he was much taller than her. Her eyes drifted to her car as she was still struggling against the demon's hold on her then that’s when she saw it. When he pulled her from the car, the leather jacket had fallen from her lap and onto the pavement. She instantly saw red as she stared at the jacket laying on the pavement. “You son of a……..” she said in almost a growl as she trailed off as the last word got caught in her throat from her emotions rising. A fire now burned within her eyes and her body was heating up from the anger quickly building up from within her. The heat soon radiated from her body and started to burn the demon that was holding her. The demon hissed from the pain, but kept his grip tight on Esme as he looked over at the demon that had Cason. “I think this chick is the one they’re calling the nuke.” he told the other with another hiss of pain. “What, she can’t be?!” the other said in surprise as he stopped and turned to look at Esme, then the demon holding her. He could see the flesh on the demon's face and hands burning, causing his eyes to go wide. “Do something before she blows!” he yelled. As soon as the demon’s grip loosened to do something, she spun in his grip, broke her arms free, and reached up, placing her hands on the demon’s face. He howled in pain as her hands seared the flesh on his face and he let her go to grab her wrists, only to have his hands burned once he touched her skin. Tightening her grip, she pulled his face down and threw him to the ground, kicking him in the stomach and then the face. She spun back around, her eyes landed on the leather jacket again and she rushed towards it. As Esme went for the leather jacket, she could feel the panic raising in the demon’s. Scooping the leather jacket off the ground, she drew her gun with her free hand, released the safety and held it over the top of her car, pointing at the demon that had Cason as she placed the leather jacket over the back of the seat. “Release him or I’ll nuke you all.” she said in a voice and tone that didn’t sound like her at all. At the moment, Esme had control, but she could slowly feel it rising as she stared down the demon that had Cason and wasn’t sure if she could hold it long. The demon looked back at her with a smirk and yanked Cason up and closer to him, as if trying to use him as a shield to keep her from shooting him. “If you do that, you risk nuking him too.” he retorted, gesturing to Cason. She narrowed her eyes at the demon, keeping her gun pointed at him as she gave her own little smirk. “How do you know I can’t be selective about who gets nuked?” At her words, she saw his eyes widen a bit and then clench his jaw before a smirk came to his face again. The next thing Esme knew, a demon grabbed her by the hair and they bashed her head twice against the car. A groan escaped her lips as they threw her to the ground. When she turned her head to the demon and tried to get up, he punched her in the jaw, knocking her out cold. Her body collapsed to the pavement with an audible thud. “Damn, she’s a fiery one.” the demon said, holding his now sizzling hand. Using his good hand, he grabbed Esme by the collar of her jacket and hoisted her up, then carefully tested her skin, finding it was now cool to the touch. He then lifted her and threw her over his shoulder and carried her to a police car and tossed her unconscious form in it as the other demon forced Cason into his police car with a smirk.
