When possessed by Dionysus you cannot simply drink, you must drink until reality itself bends to your visions. Eating until you are full was never an option. You must devour all before you, whether it be living or dead, human or animal. It is not enough to simply enjoy the company of someone close to you, you must partake in every delight imaginable. And finally, those possessed by the eater of man, the mad god, can never wield enough power. It is your right to claim all lands in your path, enslave all peoples who kneel, and strike down any who would challenge your right to rule. For it is not the place of a starving mouth to question the food before it, a parched throat to deny relief, and a decrepit monarch to refuse tribute. Just like these simple facts of life, it is not the place of Dionysus to deny his own true nature. Dionysus was born more god than man, but he was man nonetheless. A very weak and killable man that had already had a brush with the fields of the dead. Due to the plotting of jealous Hera, Dionysus’ mother fell victim to a sudden case of vaporization by thunder god. These incidents followed Dio for most of his childhood, each one getting closer than the last at ending his short life. At the age of ten, Hera had finally succeeded using the classic, “release my mortal enemies from prison and bribe them to kill a harmless child” maneuver she had perfected not long ago against the son of Hades. The small boy was eaten alive by the vicious titans and his bones were used as a nice healthy broth. Upon discovering this Zeus in his rage bombarded the area with lightning, killing the assassins. Believing himself to be too late the king of the gods silently wept for his fallen son. In the moment of Hera’s triumph, Athena found the somehow untouched heart of the dead demi-god. In a moment of shock, the goddess of wisdom realized that the boy’s soul still lingered nearby. Using a body sculpted from clay Athena managed to bring Dionysus back in this new form. Upon waking, all the child could do was scream, for he could still feel the ripping of his flesh by titans’ hands. All his eyes could see was the leering faces of his murderers. All he could hear was the laughter of monsters. The titan Rheia eventually realized what was happening and fashioned a pendant that would chain the visions. Thus the now uneaten Dionysus had to continue living his life and pretend he didn’t know what it felt like to be eaten. Dionysus lived a peaceful life for a good time until Hera decided she wasn’t happy with just mostly killing him. Snatching away his pendant the voices once again engulfed the son of Zeus, and all he could do was run. Over valleys and through mountains, across rivers and through nations he continued. Dio knew not how long had passed, only that he was still being pursued. Finally, at the end of the world looking over an endless expanse of water, he was trapped. With nowhere to run Dionysus decided it was better to die than be devoured again, and thus he dove. Sinking lower and lower Dionysus merely waited for his end to come, but it was taking an annoyingly long amount of time. So long in fact Dionysus had time to think and think he did. Dionysus has never revealed to anyone what revelation he came upon that day, but he emerged a changed being. The demons in his waking nightmare were not here to harm him, they were here to guide him. All Dionysus had to do was listen. Dionysus listened when they guided him back to Greece, he listened when they told him to gather an army. Cities burned, nations crumbled, and people died in untold numbers because Dionysus listened. Dionysus listened to the one word repeated over and over in his head, “MORE”. Never was it enough. It was not enough when he inflicted the city of Argos with insanity, causing the women of the city to slaughter their children. It was not enough when Dionysus made all Athenians who refused to acknowledge his godhood impotent until they paid respect. It was not enough when he massacred ships full of pirates for merely suggesting that they would touch him. Stranded on a desert island all he could hear was the word more. “MORE MORE MORE MORE mOre MorE more m…..” And then it stopped. All of it. The voices, the visions, the pain. All Dionysus could hear was the crashing of waves and the distant crying of a human. It was here where Dionysus met Ariadne, and he would never be without her for the rest of his days. The voice felt incredibly familiar, almost like a long-missing family member. It was so very quiet and Dio had to strain to hear over all the other noises that were beginning to surround him. Finally, Dio was able to catch a bit of the message the voice was trying to give him. “re….m..r.. more...More MORE MORE MORE MORE” Shooting up Dio looked around the room he was in and recognized many faces surrounding him. Many faces that didn’t matter, nothing mattered in comparison to the face he was looking for. He pushed through the crowd of yelling gods and made it to each corner of the room yet he did not find what he needed to. Ariadne was nowhere to be found, and Dionysus did not know what to do. Everyone else was yelling and throwing blame, and only one person seemed to have a solid idea of what to do. Of course, no one else here could hear the voices pounding in Dio’s skull. Slipping out of the ruins Dio made his way into the streets of Rome and staggered through smoke-filled alleyways. For the first time in almost ten thousand years, the eater of man hungered. For the first time since he found Ariadne, Dionysus needed MORE. It took a couple of years to find Dionysus after he had disappeared not long after they had awakened. What they found was no god of Olympus, but a feral beast that was hunting its natural prey. Hephaestus was able to calm the creature that he would normally call his brother and close friend. During this period of rehabilitation, the colossus was moved, so the two friends followed it to a new beginning. Thanks to the patience of his close friend Dionysus was slowly able to come to his sense and for the first time in a long time had control of the voices. He was no longer a slave to his eternal hunger and made up his mind to live a life Ariadne would be proud of. One thing that amazed Dionysus about this new world ruled by mortals was movies. He would often spend all day at a theater watching every film he could before the staff noticed his movie hopping. Eventually, this turned into a passion for making movies, and he began to work as a director/producer in the London area. He worked with many talents throughout his time and London and made quite a hefty sum of cash on the way. The move to the states was a surprise, but also carried some disappointment. D.C. was no entertainment hub, and Dio had to become removed from his beloved projects. Due to the unfortunate location of the colossus, Dionysus began writing scripts from home and sending them to his connections across the industry. That continued after their sudden move to Seattle, but at least in this new city, Dio had the foresight to get an apartment he was fine spending a ton of time in to write scripts. Now with a comfortable penthouse, Dionysus spends his days either enjoying the benefits of his wealth or toiling away at a new script that has piqued his interest.[/sup]

[/cell] [/row]
[sub]
███████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████ THE INNER SELF
[/sub] [sup]
█████████████████████████████████████████████████████ 𝙑𝙄𝙍𝙏𝙐𝙀𝙎 & 𝙑𝙄𝘾𝙀𝙎
[/sup]
[row] [sup]
▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅ ▅▅▅▅▅▅
[/sup] [/row][row] [cell] xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx[/cell][cell]xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 𝗩𝗜𝗥𝗧𝗨𝗘𝗦 x x x 𝗩𝗜𝗖𝗘𝗦 x x x 𝗔𝗠𝗕𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 & 𝗙𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗦[/cell][cell]xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [sub]Loyal Clever Outgoing Unstable Concieted Prideful[/sub] x
[sub]Dionysus’ one wish is to be reunited with his wife, but he is afraid that might never be possible. Would her soul still be in the underworld with no warden to govern it? Would she even want to return to Olympus with him after he abandoned her? Would he relapse into madness before he could find her? Dionysus is so terrified of these questions that he has resigned himself to wasting his days away on earth.[/sub]
[/cell][/row]
