The individual introduced himself as a member S.H.I.E.L.D. informing her that she had been under watch from the organization for quite a few years now and that her skills could be put to much better use. Celestine considered her talents, her abilities, and how they could help not only her country but also the world, and perhaps even beyond. She had been wanting more from her life, to do something meaningful, to no longer be viewed as an abomination by those she fought alongside with, and this was her chance to do so. With no hesitation, she accepted and left that night for the United States of America. General History: Celestine was born at [12:13 AM] in the morning at the Pripyat Hospital 126, on April 26th, 1986. She was born an only child to her two parents, who where extremely happy that they had a child in their life. Her father was a Spetsnaz and her mother was a surgeon at that local hospital, so the life she had planned out before her was expected to be difficult but very rewarding. As the early hours of the morning progressed, Celestine and her parents were preparing to leave Pripyat Hospital 126 when the message came over the cities loud speaker system, "Attention attention, dear comrades, the cities counsel of people's deputies informs that due to an accident at Chernobyl nuclear power plant in the city of Pripyat, an adverse radiation condition evolves. By party, by Soviet bodies, by Police forces, occupants of the city will be evacuated temporarily." Nikolai, Annya, and Celestine knew they were not going to be able to return to their home to gather any belongings and would have to now drive to the nearest border or safe zone, away from the disaster that would scar so many lives and leave a mark upon the world that still stands to this day. For hours they drove through the night, avoiding military check points but eventually, the Soviet Peoples Forces caught up with them at a road block with even a T-80 tank. They were forced to stop and step out of their vehicle. Nikolai explained that they were evacuating from the affected areas of the Chernobyl powerplant disaster, and that he was a member of the elite Spetsnaz forces. The Soviet forces check their identification, and unfortunately informed them that they were to return to Pripyat, due to the fact that the Soviet party needed Nikolai's help to move additional military forces into the area, and Annya who was needed for helping the injured and sick. They had no choice, and were forced to drive back as the morning sun fell across the Motherland, smoke rising in the distance. The next few days were nothing less than living hell for those who were affected by the radiation, and those who willingly sacrificed themselves for the good of the party, the country, and the world. Nikolai had helped move military transports into the city and direct them to the civilian areas that needed to be evacuated first, along with making sure no riots or panic broke out. Annya was not so lucky, she was forced to assist those who were returning from the power plan, firefighters, police officers, and civilians. All while this was happening, Celestine was taken away from her parents and kept in a safe and secure area away from the dangers of radiation. After three days, Nikolai, Annya, and Celestine were allowed to leave the city, though their lives would be forever changed. As the years rolled by, both Nikolai and Annya were thanked for their services by being granted a massive amount of money, that was put to immediate use in not only helping themselves but also the survivors of the horrific disaster. During these years, Celestine’s life was mostly that of any normal child. She went to school and excelled, made friends, learned life lessons, and experienced life within the Soviet Union for one who was wealthy and well known. Celestine started to show interest in becoming not only part of the military but also helping people within the medical field, following after both of her parents. One day, eight years after the disaster, a family friend known as Strevonia, showed up and informed them that Celestine needed to be medically checked over for any effects of radiation and would be returned shortly after with all the information of their findings. Little did Celestines family know, this would be the last time they would see her for many years. Celestine was not taken to a hospital, she was taken to a research facility within the walls of the newly formed exclusion zone, the barrier around the area where the Chernobyl disaster took place. Only being eight years old, Celestine thought what she was seeing was indeed a hospital of sorts, but upon seeing fully armed soldiers and scientists in power armored NBC suits, she knew something was very wrong. All she remembers was being placed inside of a dark room with an azure crystal that gave off violet rays of light that pulsed slowly. A voice came from a speaker telling Celestine to remain seated and not be afraid, that she would be returned home shortly, that all would be well. The last part of these comforting words was drowned out by a deafening static that filled her ears and could be felt deep within her bones. Her vision went black, and all she saw was the endless abyss of space, filled with celestial bodies. They vanished after a few seconds, and the eight-year-old found herself lying upon a bed within a decorated room, done so to be more welcoming. What she had been exposed to was an artifact that had formed within the heart of Chernobyl, and supposedly held powerful altering abilities, so far she was the only one who had survived being exposed to the artifact. Three scientists entered the room wearing the same power armored NBC suits she had seen earlier, and was told she had been out for two weeks. Something within herself had changed, and they were not entirely sure what that meant. Tests at first showed that Celestine had the ability to replicate the skills from those around her, which happened by mistake as a soldier quickly apprehended a failed revolt within the building. Celestine managed to kick out the back leg of a solider, grab onto his pistol and fire the clip into the man, then attempted to escape before being apprehended and receiving a punishment. Where others saw an abomination, Strevonia saw a tool to be used, the future of the Motherland and a way to regain his honor and fear among those who did not think what he was doing was possible or worth the recourses. He immediately began training her in forms of combat, testing her new abilities and discovering her capabilities. When she was within age, and she was once again mentally sound again, she was enlisted to the Spetsnaz, being informed that once she finished her tour of duty, she would be released and allowed to see her family once more. There was no choice, she was put head first into the intense training that very few soldiers managed to pass through, but she did so not only graduating top of her class but also in record time. Here, she learned many of the deadly skills that the elite forces learn, even excelling in the fields. When her first real life combat mission occurred, those that were part of her team noticed something strange about her, she could mimic the abilities of her enemies. Her team saw the use in this but were quick to report it as well as label her a freak, and abomination, a mutant. Celestine’s shame lead to cover her face in black and never show it, which in turn somewhat worked in her favor, giving her the nickname Black Bird. Eventually, the bullying and harassment became so bad that she chose to do solo operations, and shortly after found her love of scout rifles, marksmen rifles, and sniper rifles. Upon her uniform, she attached the Chernobyl Power Plant emblem, and those very few enemies who encountered her and were allowed to live, called her the Black Bird of Chernobyl. Death and destruction followed in her wake when ever she went upon a mission. During her down time between training and missions, she volunteered to become a combat medic, and went through rigorous medical courses to assist her fellow soldiers both on and out of the field of battle if they received an injury. The skills she learned during these years proved invaluable, and continue to do so to this day. After eight years within the Spetsnaz, she was given leave and allowed to her family. Her parents still lived in the same house, and had been mourning her expected death. Her arrival was one of many emotions, and Celestine caught her parents up on all that had happened over her many years of being missing from their lives. She promised she would return, that she had other important things to take care of, and that she would always love and remember her family. She found herself wanting to return to the Spetsnaz, but before she could she wanted to see Pripyat, her first home. Getting inside was simple enough before of her rank, but finding her home was not. She spent almost twelve hours looking for her parents home, and when she found it, someone was waiting inside for her. This individual did not tell her his name, but did inform her that he was part of S.H.I.E.L.D. and was informed of who and what they were. This man know of her special abilities, and told her that she would be welcomed with open arms among all those who were part of S.H.I.E.L.D. Celestine would be taught in any fields she wished by some of the best and brightest, and that she would be helping protect her country, the world, and perhaps even beyond. There was no hesitation, Celestine agreed and was given a data-pad being shown where she would need to be to get a ride out of the country and to her new home. She quickly went back to her parents home and informed them of the news, they were of course confused but happy that she had found something more for herself to do in the life. The next day, she was in the United States of America, looking at the S.H.I.E.L.D Academy for Operations. For many years, she found herself graduating top of her class, and finely being educated in the areas she was interested in. She had the freedom to do as she saw fit in many areas, somethings she never had the chance to do. Here, she found new interests and but also things she disliked. Her personality came forward and so did a new ability that had been hidden from her, Technopath. Now, she finds herself working among friends and some others she unfortunately does not like. Her nickname has stuck with her though, and so has her habit of wearing a black mask to cover her face at all times, unless she is completely alone in a secure room.
