Bobby stomped his foot lightly, knowing that there was nothing he could do to stop her from wanting to leave with Dean. It had always been this way, and deep down, he knew the day would come where she would want to do more hunting…with Dean. He stepped back and leaned against his desk with a long sigh at her words, raising a hand to rub his brow. “I know you do. I think that’s what scares me. Dean, you’re young. You’re reckless and half the time, you need someone to save your ass. You’re better off here, than you are out there, and you know it.”, he turned his gaze to Dean, who shrugged his shoulders. “Maybe you’re right, Bobby, but you know as well as I do that Dad isn’t just gonna let me vacation at your house for the rest of my life. If he comes back…when…when he comes back, he’s going to want me to go with him. I don’t want you trying to get in his way.”, Dean spoke more even, now, his face completely reasonable and even, “He’ll want me back in rotation. With Mika there, we can take care of each other.” Bobby sighed, “Look at you now! Run out of town because you went in too hot!” “And we still got out of it okay! That means we know when to bow out, if things get too heavy!”, Dean argued, gesturing with his hands. Bobby shook his head. “And the werewolves that almost gutted you?! Did you know when to bow out then?!”, Bobby practically yelled again, exasperated. Dean held up a hand. “I was alone! How do you bow out when you have to kill your way out?! With two of us, they would have never gotten that far, and I probably wouldn’t have even been hurt. I need a partner that’s not dad, and I want to take her with me. You can either let her go, or try to make her stay, but you know she’ll end up following me, either way.”, Dean said with finality, turning his eyes toward the floor. He was tying Bobby’s hands, giving Mika the full choice of leaving or staying. Bobby raised his nose toward the ceiling in a long and understanding nod, “Well. You’re right. I can’t make this decision for you, but I don’t like it. We’ll talk about it more when John calls.” He stepped away from his desk and walked around to grab one of the phones on the wall, to call in his hunters to take care of the town Dean and Mika had left behind. Dean sighed, feeling both defeated and relieved that Bobby was just letting the situation go for now.
