NAME:
Regina Smith, The Huntress
AGE:
18
SEX:
Female
APPEARANCE:
She wore a green jacket for both her day-to-day attire and her transformed outfit. There are some key differences between the two however, mainly in their texture, smell, and the insignia drawn to its left shoulder. The ordinary green jacket possesses the texture and smell of a cheap jacket, not terribly pleasant to wear. The transformed outfit on the other hand has a comfortable cotton-like feeling to it and it smells like fresh grass Other than that, she usually wears a white loose sleeveless t-shirt and a black straight skirt that reaches down her upper thighs.
GRIMIORE:
In its dormant state, her grimoire takes the form of a bronze ring. Not the kind you wear on your finger however. Instead, it rests snugly on her left thigh, hidden under her skirt.
INSTRUMENT:
A Hunter’s Bow An ornate bow half the size of a human body, made out of a unique mixture of bronze and wood. The quiver was also made of the same material. The arrows’ feathers were, oddly enough, were also made out of wood, while their tips were made of bronze. Analysis of the material confirmed that both the wood and bronze on the arrows were the same material that the quiver and the bow were constructed of. GRADE: Bronze KEYWORD: Bow DAMAGE TYPE: Arcane DAMAGE: C SPEED: E SENTINEL: D SPECIAL: Lightweight Surprisingly light despite its size.
FACTION:
Freelancer
TRIVIA:
Born out in the boonies as the daughter of a family of hunters, she had been close to nature ever since she existed in this world. As the only child, she had to help out her parents from an early age. She would aid her mother in her small garden, where she grew all sorts of crops for them to eat. As for her father, she would accompany him to his excursions to the nearby forest. He taught her how to spot and track animals, how to sneak up on them, and how to end their life painlessly with a single shot of her rifle. He also gave her the knowledge to set up traps and even how to handle and fire a bow. And then, that accursed demon came. It was shaped like a bear, but its size was far more enormous, rivaling the size of a small house. Its purple fur crackled with lightning and acidic saliva trickled down its mouth without pause, leaving a trail of burned grass behind it. It arrived at the eve of the night, somehow staying perfectly silent on its path towards their house. When her father realized what was going on, it was already too late, as it had swung its large paw onto their wooden house, destroying one of its walls in an instant, and killing the man in an instant. Her mother screamed, yelling to her to run away as she distracted the creature. She agreed, not realizing that her father had just been murdered right in front of her. She believed that as long as her parents worked together, a bear like that shouldn’t be a problem, even if it was a bit bigger than the usual bears she knew. She ran to the night’s darkness. Not knowing where she was going, she ended up going into the nearby forest. Thankfully, it was the same forest she had been traversing her entire life so even in the middle of the night, she could still make her bearings. And then, she heard it. A roar. A thundering roar that seemingly shook the entire world. Followed by sounds of heavy footsteps barreling towards her direction. The bear survived. And it was coming for her. She immediately ran deeper and deeper into the forest, praying that she could outrun it. The sturdy trees and branches should delay it from catching after her. And once she was far enough, she could just hide inside one of the many natural caves in this area and then— Her heart skipped a beat. She could hear them—the sounds of trees falling down one by one, dominating the nightly symphony of the crickets. The bear… it was charging right through the trees, treating them as if they were mere bushes. It wasn’t slowing down in the slightest. She yelped, her right foot tripping over a branch she did not notice. Losing her balance, she fell down, scraping her knees in the process. She could feel it—the warm blood trickling down her legs. And the shaking ground as the bear came closer and closer. Tears filled her ears. Was this it? Was this how she was going to die? As she backed away, crawling with her arms, her fingers brushed with something. She paused, grabbing the object immediately. It was a ring. A large one. Wider than the circumference of her arm. And then, it all came to her. What this ring was and what it could do for her. She drew upon its power and transformed on the spot. The bear came, charging like a wild boar, opening its jaws wide to swallow her whole. Only to die by a single arrow, courtesy of the newly awakened esper. The bear disappeared, its corpse dissolving into nothingness. The ring had saved her life. But not the lives of her parents, as she soon found out when she returned home. That incident… that single night in her thirteen-year old life... changed her fate forever. Not knowing any other relatives, she decided she would rather survive on her own rather than calling for help from the authorities. She’d be damned if she ended up in that prison called an orphanage. And so she became a wanderer, traveling town to town, looking for any work she could do, just to sustain herself. Five years then passed, and her steps took her to Pax Septimus, where she had a client that she needed to meet. It was supposed to be a simple delivery job. She had hunted down a near-extinct bison and collected its tusks. Sure, it was illegal but a girl had to live. And doing illegal hunting was the best way to obtain cash. She wouldn't do it frequently though. Money, to her, was just a tool. Not a goal for her to aspire to. However, when she met with the client, she revealed the existence of the Freelancers. Along with the other two Esper organizations vying control of the city. It turned out that the whole delivery job was partly to recruit her to their organization as well. “Recruit”, being loosely used here, as every member of the Freelancer was pretty much free to take or reject the missions given to them by the app they used. She ended up joining, just because they paid well. At least until she got bored enough living in a cramped city like this.
