Bio:
Age: 19 Pronouns: He/Him Occupation: Student
Appearance:
Hideaki Saitou was always raised to present himself in the best way possible at all times. That said, he is not nearly as concerned about his appearance as his parents would like him to be. However, he does seek to make a solid first impression and tries to maintain himself to the best of his abilities. He attempts to maintain a "proper" Japanese student look. His hair, a deep black in hue, is styled to the side and curved a bit toward the side of his face to keep it way from his eyes. He often wears his typical school uniform: a blue jacket with white lining with darker blue streaks up the sides where the arms usually fall, as well as a pair of rather simple-looking black pants. Beneath this jacket, he usually wears a simple, collared white shirt and a black tie with a blue streak down its center. He makes sure that he does enough exercise to keep himself fit and healthy, but he does not actively attempt to physically improve himself at all. This leaves his build as rather average overall.
Digivolution/Form-Change Method:
Partner Digivolution - Hideaki and his partner connect through a passion that the two share, usually a desire to protect others around them and a will to fight. However, the Digivolution can fail if either party is lacking that passion.
Personality:
Hide is an intellectual and strategist that does his best to maintain a polite, "proper" demeanor. He tries his best to keep cool and level-headed, no matter what situation he finds himself in. He even bows his head or upper body when he must apologize to somebody or to show his gratitude. This also means that he is largely reserved, keeping himself and his own emotions in check while maintaining an outward appearance of professionalism. His overall goal is to appear friendly, approachable and unjudgmental, largely due to a desire to help others with problems that they might possess. However, he is also a bit of a perfectionist, and this leads to a strong lack of desire to make mistakes. This can lead to him becoming very indecisive when an outcome is something that is difficult to predict, or when there's simply too many variables to consider....

+ Polite and approachable
+ Determined to do the right thing at all times
+ Actively seeks to do everything he can to help others who need it, regardless of personal risk, and promote their well-being
- Slow to act due to the need to think about consequences, and thus is unable to think on his feet very well
- Afraid to take risks
- In fear of worrying or even harming others, he keeps problems to and attempts to resolve them by himself as long as doing so doesn't harm others

Dream:
Hideaki has but one large, grand dream: to help reform the law of his home country and others, to create a world where nobody could abuse law enforcement or the legal world to unjustly harm others. This dream comes from not his own experience with the legal system, but through experiences earned vicariously through his parents: a prosecutorial mother and a defending father. They both have conflicting views on the legal system and have told him several stories of individuals who have hurt others getting their freedom through legal loopholes, or even by framing an innocent individual and tales of corruption in both services. But besides that, he has seen one example of this in specific: a friend of his from the academy he attends who helped him was framed for a crime he didn't commit, but was convicted through faulty evidence anyway. He dreams of, one day, making a legal world where this is an impossibility. And he holds firm to the belief that it is very much in the realm of possibility. And it is this idea that gets him through his day to day experiences. Built into this as well, however, is the idea that he wants to make his parents proud. He has heard from many reputable sources that his parents are amazing in their respective careers, and he wants to be just the same.
Nightmare(s):
Pain. Disappointment. Betrayal. Failure. Suffering...all by his own hands, one way or another. Despite his grand ambitions, abilities and talents that he possesses...he is often afraid to step forward and demonstrate them. After all...what if others come to rely on him? And if others come to rely on him, then what is he going to do if he fails? What if he puts his faith in somebody who stabs them in the back later? What if it's his decisions or his plans that leads his friends to suffer? What if, in the end, he causes more harm than good? Or that he causes harm to a relationship that otherwise held strong? He is terrified of these prospects, and it leads him to be a bit more reserved when making his own opinions known.
Hide continued to take step after step into the darkness that surrounded him. His steps were slow, exploratory. He needed to make sure that he wasn't stepping into some deep abyss before committing his weight into the step, after all. The last thing he needed was to fall and hurt himself somehow. After all, he had a big exam tomorrow afternoon at the academy. And yet, despite that...he couldn't put anything together in his head. He'd never been anywhere this...dark before. At least, not without some kind of light source at his beck and call, usually a switch placement he'd memorized or a flashlight he'd expected to use. But...here he had nothing. He was even still wearing the same uniform he had been wearing in his own room. But that still begged the question. Where...was he? Needless to say, he couldn't see anything. He was confident that he had been in his room, at his computer, but nothing else could enter his mind's eye. All he knew was what his powers of observation, so commonly complimented by his friends and family, told him. And while his vision wasn't giving much to work with, there was certainly something there; the sound of rushing water. It reminded him of the sounds of a beach. He'd only been there a couple of times before, back when he was still a second year in high school, but the experiences had been very memorable for him, so he could clearly identify the sound. But he didn't know a beach to be THIS dark...and he certainly didn't recognize the feeling beneath his feet; a little too solid to be wooden boards or the sand itself. 'This is stupid....' Hide thought to himself with a shake of the head. Clearly, this must just be a- "Stupid!?" suddenly came a voice from behind him, a bit high pitched and sounding almost offended. "Who-!?" he exclaimed, suddenly spinning around, as though to confront somebody who sounded like they were directly behind him. And yet...there was nobody; just the usual darkness. He blinked, confused. But he was confident that he hadn't imagined that. Somebody had to be here. Were they watching him? But then how could they see in this darkness? Did they have some kind of tool? He would be at quite a disadvantage in that case, if they turned out to be hostile. "Who's there!?" Hide demanded. "...Oops. My bad, pal. Forgot how you humans just can't see anything unless we shove it in your faces." came the voice again, this time from the other direction. Before Hide could say anything in response, he felt something grip at his waist; something that almost felt like a rubber band. It gripped at his waist and spun him around. And standing there before him...was a creature he'd never seen before. What could only be described as a small, purple mascot in a red vest of some kind stood in front of him. And so short that he almost thought there was nobody there for a brief moment. But seeing that purple, mallet-like tail retract from his waist had drawn his attention. The boy blinked, staring at the little...purple draconic mascot at his feet. "Hi!" the figure said with a wide grin. "So, you're the one, huh?" Hide was silent at that. It wasn't that he didn't want to say anything. It's that he couldn't say anything. He was stunned into silence as this...thing was talking to him. "...Huh. Not much of a talker are ya?" the mini dragon asked, tilting his head. "Well...I hope you can fix that and quick. 'Cause my friend is gonna need your help for real." "What...?" Hide finally found his voice. "F-friend...? But, what...?" "Shhh, don't worry about it right now!" the figure hissed. "Look, just...I don't have long, so let me talk, alright? Look. I know you, Hideaki Saitou. You're the human that's going to help my friend. Or...so I've been told." Hide opened his mouth to question why this strange thing knew his name...but he decided to respect it for now, at least. It seemed intelligent enough.... "Look, the point is, my friend's going to be getting in over his head. And without you, he's going to get himself killed." the dragon added. "And if you help him...I promise, that we'll be helping you, too. Helping...? Was this friend another little...thing like him? How could he help somebody he'd never met before? And why did it have to be him...? And how could they possibly help him? But then came the words. "You can do it," the figure said. "With his help, and the others...you'll make the world a better place. I promise." Hide's eyes widened at that. Once more, he found himself stunned into silence. How did he...? "So...what d'you say, Hide?" the purple dragon asked, lifting a claw up to him. "You're one of those business types, right? So think of it like one of those weird contract thingies. You help my friend with his dream...and we'll help you with yours. We'll make sure that you do it." Hide couldn't believe what he was hearing. He didn't even know the figure. He wasn't even convinced that this was a real experience he was having. Let alone whether or not he felt comfortable putting any kind of trust in this mysterious 'friend' that he'd never spoken to before. But then again...he supposed if these figures didn't exist in the first place, what could it really hurt to indulge this strange...hallucination? Dream? Whatever this was. Besides...on the off chance that this WAS real, then could he really forgive himself for turning him down? Apparently this friend's life was on the line, after all. He wasn't sure how he could help, but.... Hide opened his mouth to answer, raising his hand and reaching out to grab hold of the white claw in front of him.... Suddenly, his body jolted. His eyes shot open and his body yanked itself backward, so that he was no longer crouched over the desk in front of him. He felt a sudden pain in the back of his head, causing him to let out a soft, "Ow...!" He rubbed his head as he realized...that he'd collided with his desk lamp. He squinted through the darkness of his room, seeing the computer monitor in front of him, unable to even make out the screen due to the difference in lighting. It didn't take him long to piece together what had happened; he'd fallen asleep at his desk while doing research again. So then...wait. All of that...was just a dream...? He shook his head, dismissing the thoughts. Of course it was just a dream.... After all, it's not like little dragons actually existed; let alone with the ability to talk. He let out a disgruntled sigh as he reached forward to turn his monitor off. Clearly, it was time for bed if he was having strange dreams like that one....

Bio:
Maturity: Adolescent Pronouns: He/Him
Typical Digivolution Path:
Botamon > Koromon > Agumon > GeoGreymon > RizeGreymon > WarGreymon OR DNA/Jogress into Examon
Origin:
Agumon began his life as, what else, a childish, Baby level Digimon, Botamon, with others. However, once he had become a Koromon, he was tired of being treated like a kid. And he ran off, attempting to strike out on his own! However, this went just as one might expect...and Koromon found himself overwhelmed by the threats that lived out in the world. In particular, he found himself subjected to the whims of a batch of villainous Rookie Digimon, and beaten into submission. He was bullied into bending to their whims, and doing whatever they wanted, if he didn't want to get deleted and absorbed by these punks. One night, however, he finally decided that he'd had enough; that he would stand up for himself at last. And, of course, he was defeated rather easily. But before he could even consider surrendering again, there was another Digimon on the scene; one he'd never seen before. He couldn't even get a good look at them, to even see who it was that saved him. All he can remember is that brave, strong and confident voice declaring the foolishness of these villains for bullying someone who clearly couldn't fight back. After a very short bout, the stranger defeated all three of his antagonists, who fled in fear. And just as quickly as he'd come, the figure left after making sure he was alright. All Koromon had been able to do was ask why he let them run, instead of finishing them off and taking their data for himself...? The only answer he got was that he "didn't want to take away their chance to better themselves." This encounter inspired the young Koromon more than anything else ever had. He had felt true admiration for another Digimon for the first time. That figure, whoever it had been, was amazing!. And from that point on, the Koromon devoted himself to becoming strong. And he made it his goal to do it "the right way." He was going to train his tail off to get strong...and he was never going to delete another Digimon. He was going to be just like the stranger that had saved him! His training soon brought results, as he quickly managed to reach his Rookie form faster than he had anticipated. He traveled the Digital World, fighting to protect those who could not protect themselves, or otherwise saving Digimon in trouble whenever he could, even at the risk of his own life. He has even done so a couple of times and earned the respect of a few Digimon along the way, even befriending one or two of them and forming a tight bond. And to this day, he continues training, wanting to become strong enough to earn the respect of the Digimon that had saved him....
Personality:
There are two things that Agumon cannot stand in this world: Liars and bullies. Agumon hates it when somebody uses deception to get what they want from someone else. Especially if it means causing harm in some way, or stealing something valuable. He strongly believes that there's no problem that can't be solved through the proper channels. Further, he despises those who abuse or otherwise bully Digimon weaker than themselves. Due to a deep-rooted belief that the strong have a responsibility to defend the weak, he hates knowing that a Digimon is abusing their power and using it to force smaller Digimon to bend a knee. If there is one thing that he likes to do more than anything else, however, it's fight. Agumon is a warrior at heart. There is absolutely nothing like the exhilaration of a good brawl! He prefers a physical, hand to hand fight, but is not going to judge anybody for wanting to use all of their techniques to win. The one thing that he can't stand for, however, is anything that he considers "cheating." He can accept a loss if it comes from a truly superior foe. But if he loses a fight because his opponent "cheated" somehow, then he will undoubtedly hold a grudge. And unfortunately, this warrior outlook often lands himself into trouble, especially with how quick he is to jump into a fight. His pride, while doing him plenty of favors for his self confidence, can be used against him as well. If his thick skin can be pierced with just the right combination of mockery and being in the process of losing or otherwise being overwhelmed in a fight...he can sometimes begin to fold. If the opponent proves to be truly his superior, he finds it difficult to shrug off words mocking his abilities, and he can take these very personally. This can even lead to him shutting down and all but surrendering altogether if it's bad enough.

+ Brave and altruistic, ready to jump into harm's way for the sake of another at a moment's notice.
+ Strong sense of self confidence!
+ Honorable, and takes his promises very seriously; he will never back out of a promise if he can avoid it.
- Extremely rash/impatient; he does not like to waste time thinking, when the problem could be solved faster just by punching it down.
- Obsessed with fighting to such a degree that he has a difficult time connecting with others through any other medium.
- Very hotheaded and egotistical; prone to angry outbursts if insulted.

"Haahh.... Haahhh..." Agumon breathed heavily, claws clenched into fists, held in front of his face. The fight had really started dragging on and on, but he still couldn't bear the idea of falling here. He couldn't let himself lose this fight...his companion was counting on him! But then, he saw it. There was the opening he'd been waiting for! A slightly lowered guard.... His claws clenched tightly as he suddenly took a step forward, swinging his claw forward, attempting to slug the opposing, purple Digimon in his cheek! However, his eyes widened. The other Digimon sidestepped his punch, causing him to whiff. And unfortunately, the lizard Digimon had thrown all of his weight into that punch, and immediately fell off-balance...and right into his opponent's trap. That purple tail came swinging around, striking at the back of his legs! He gasped, his legs getting knocked right out from under him! He fell hard into the dirt on his back, and he laid there for a moment, stunned from the fall. But unfortunately, his opponent clearly had no intention to give him a chance to recover. The other Digimon jumped into the air overhead, and then came the shout, "Ran-Gum Break!" They spun around in the air, swinging that tail around...and bringing down hard onto the defenseless yellow lizard! "Gah...!" Agumon gasped in pain as the attack smashed down into his stomach, crushing him into the dirt! when the tail was removed from his torso, he was left, groaning and winded on the ground. And a moment later, he watched his opponent lift their leg, planting their foot on top of his chest and pinning him to the ground. He squirmed for a moment, but quickly found that he was unable to pull free in his current state. "D...dammit," Agumon growled in frustration. It was over.... "Heheh...looks like I win again, Agumon." "Gah...I can't believe you're still this much stronger than me, Gumdramon...." Agumon muttered. "Well, you're getting better, at least," the purple dragon Digimon replied with a smug grin on his face. Agumon watched as that foot was lifted off of his body and a claw was extended down to him. He let out a sigh and he reached out, gripping his friend's claw and allowing himself to get pulled back to his feet again. "Yeah, but I feel like if I take a step in getting stronger, you take a step too, and I'm just not gaining any ground on you." Agumon complained, crossing his arms now that he was back on his feet. "I can't even beat you when I've got motivation to do it," "What, you mean that dumb bet about Blucomon?" Gumdramon replied with a snort. "Don't worry about it, it was just a joke anyway. We're not gonna make him stay here, even if you did lose." "...Well that's good, I guess," Agumon said, with crossed arms. "The guy's been all over me since I saved him that one time. So I guess he's relying on me now. He looked around himself, at the forest that surrounded the two, trees stretching up to the skies all around him, so much so that sometimes even the sky was difficult to make out. But he supposed it made for a good hiding spot for the village.... "If you ask me, it's kinda cute. It's almost like you got yourself a little brother." Gumdramon replied with a joking smirk. "...Bye, Gumdramon," Agumon muttered with a wave of the claw and a roll of the eye. The purple dragon Digimon laughed and waved after him as he finally began to walk away now that his spar was over. The lizard Digimon still had to meet up with his friend and companion, Blucomon, before leaving the village again. They had only stopped by here to check up on things. After all, they had someplace to be, and at a certain time and place. Agumon stopped walking, closing his eyes and taking a deep breath. He could still remember the dream like it was only yesterday. Himself, standing beside some kind of blue, icy dragon Digimon. There they would find them; strangers he'd never seen before. Humans. And they were in danger here by themselves. And without their assistance, the poor humans would be powerless to protect themselves from the villainous Digimon before them. Or...something like that? To be honest, nothing about that part had ever been very clear.... But he knew for a fact that, in his dream, he could sense these humans needed his help. At first, he had dismissed it. But the very next day, who should he end up meeting...but the very blue dragon he'd seen in the dream. And now one who simply would not leave his side for long. And now, a long time later, he was feeling a strange pull. Almost like some instinctual knowledge that he'd forgotten he'd memorized. Like he already knew where he was supposed to be, even though the dream hadn't given him any kind of details like that. And thus, their curiosity piqued, the two began to journey toward this mystery location, to see if this really was the real deal or not. Agumon opened his eyes again and let out a sigh. He supposed there was no point in dwelling on it. If this was just...the universe or something telling him that he had somebody he needed to beat, then he was gonna do it! If not...well, he'd probably find someone else on the way anyway, right? Besides, the longer he thought about this strange dream of his, the more it would make his head start to hurt. So, the Fire Digimon nodded to himself, clenching a claw, and continued on his path to the place he expected to find Blucomon.
