I hadn't really put a lot of thought into the Zords yet, but I wouldn't want to have them the same size as the shows. Robots that big would do more harm than good in urban areas. I'm thinking we keep them about the size of the Hulkbuster armor from the MCU movies, and they act as sort of boosters for the nanosuits. When they call in the larger suits, six metal rigs with rocket boosters shoot out of the ship and fly to the Rangers, after which the rigs unfold and pull apart and pieces of the larger suit begin snapping together over the Rangers' normal nanosuit. 

The normal Nanosuits would look similar to this when activated:
