Epsilon, Divine Academician
Aspect Knowledge Knowledge and information is a tangible resource and Epsilon is master of its topology. They specialize in the discovery of the new and the retainment of the old;. Epsilon also makes a wonderful teacher; a mastery of information also includes the impartation of that information. New technologies and theories come far easier to him than to others, and even information foreign to him can be reverse-engineered with blinding speed. He makes for a supernatural detective, able to turn the barest of hints into correct conclusions at a speed and accuracy unheard of for any others, even gods. He is also capable of feats of memory beyond his peers, retaining old information in much more detail for much longer than all others. Another part of his aspect is that of champions; due to his skill at teaching, he is far more capable of elevating the power of champions; should they tutelage under him for a time. He is also capable of creating artifacts that can impart knowledge on people with blinding speed or take away that knowledge with the same swiftness. Finally, he can afflict a mortal’s intelligence; either elevating them to the loftiest state of genius and inspiration, the dullest valley of incapability, or anywhere in between. Persona Epsilon is a cruel god: he is endlessly curious, yet manifested in a way abrasive to other gods and deadly to mortals. To him, the attainment of information and knowledge trumps all else, no matter how many have to suffer and die in the process. He is a highly authoritarian figure, imposing and imperious in nature. He is quick to anger and calculating in his revenge, his long memory permitting him to hold grudges in extreme excess. Paradoxically, Epsilon is capable of both prodigious patience and staggering impatience; depending on his goals. A thousand years is nothing to him in the attainment of knowledge or the enacting of revenge for a wrong, but ten seconds suffering dissent to his decisions is intolerable. His opinions on mortals, meanwhile, varies. He is not concerned with their welfare nor their worship, but he does have a vested interest in their continued survival. He cares for mortals only insofar as they create new information for him to inspect and archive, and is open about his intent to only help them in the pursuit of that goal. For gods, he is clearly only a fair weather friend; he considers himself above all other gods except for the Monarch of All, and is more than willing to use and discard them at his pleasure. True Form The true form of Epsilon is deceptively unassuming, for a god. In his true form, he appears as nothing more than a white-robed man, cloaked in a gold cloth and a golden mask. However, the gold mask cannot be removed and no skin is ever shown; everything down to his boots is, in fact, his body. This comes with an advantage; his true form is, while still a strain on a mortal’s mind, not an instant death sentence. Mortals can survive as much as a single day’s exposure to him before permanent damage sets in.
