[b]Physical Description:[/b] Elle has a small stature, but she makes up for it with a gaze that looks right into your soul. Just because she has to look up at people doesn’t mean that she looks up to them. Her eyes are a muddy hazel with bits of blue, and she always looks a bit bored unless something interesting is taking place. She isn’t afraid to show what she’s thinking and easily does it with her expressions. Her eyebrows are thick and used regularly to express her emotions, they’re the same color as her shoulder length chestnut hair. Which is brushed but rarely styled. Sometimes seen in a half-assed bun or ponytail if she wants it out of her face. She also braids her hair if she’s trying to look nice. If she wears makeup it’s only to accentuate her freckles and make her long eyelashes darker. She wears eyeliner with a simple cat eye only when she feels like it. Sometimes she’ll add a little dot under her left eye as a false beauty mark just for fun.

Although she’s small, she can pack a mean punch. She’s built up enough muscle and calluses over the years thanks to skating that she isn’t afraid to get into a fight. Hasn’t happened yet. [i]Yet...[/i] She stands as tall as she can, really, but her shoulders slouch as soon as she’s relaxed. Most of the time her hands are in her pockets or hiding in her sleeves. She paints her nails and files them herself; they look great even if a few are chipped.

[b]Clothing:[/b] Elle’s style is the epitome of 2010’s grunge aesthetic but leans more toward the skater girl type than the preppy version of it. That means Vans, boots, Converse, ripped jeans, flannels, baggy hoodies, fishnets or tights, and an overall aura of “who cares.” Elle has never stepped foot inside of an Aeropostale and is convinced she would incinerate if she ever tried. She doesn’t mind Hollister or American Eagle’s styles, but she’s only been able to afford one flannel or hoodie from each over her time as a teen. All of her clothes were thrifted or hand me downs from cousins, but Elle believes it gives her style a unique character instead of dressing like everyone else.

Elle’s ensembles are mostly loose articles of clothing, but as she matures she has at least one piece that reveals her figure. Whether it’s baggy jeans with holes in them, a tight top underneath an open flannel, or skinny jeans with a loose hoodie or shirt, Elle always has one piece in her fit to remind people that she has a body underneath the layers.

Elle sticks to neutral tones such as black, white, and brown. Any color that may appear in her outfits would be from bright graphic tees or other neutral tones like green and blue. She is always sporting the color black at all times because it is the color she is most comfortable in.

Elle is comfortable wearing gold and silver jewelry. She wears multiple rings at times, only stud earrings or hoops, and necklaces that are thick chains or have unique pendants hanging from them.

[b]Voice:[/b] Elle’s voice is low and strong. She sounds like the kind of girl that would, and occasionally does, say dude or bro, but she has moments where her voice raises because of excitement. Think of Marceline from Adventure Time but more serious. It can also be low and monotonous when she’s pissed off. Her voice alone could make someone hesitate. If you’re not the type to provoke her she sounds chill and open to talk about anything. Her voice is inviting if she decides to speak in front of you.

[b]Character Traits:[/b] At first glance Elle appears unapproachable to those with less confidence than most. Her face remains expressionless until something catches her interest and that can be intimidating. For those with strong personalities and feel secure in their part of society, Elle just appears bored. Stoners might think she’s just high. The rest may see her as shy or as a mystery. To put it plainly, Elle is nothing like what most people assume of her.

Elle seems like such a wallflower to most, but to her friends she is so much more than that. She’s cunning, funny, caring in her own weird way, and she’s only quiet because she’s thinking. She stands up for herself and for her friends. She won’t let anyone ruin her fun, and she’ll leave if something is boring or going the way she doesn’t want it to. Her type is chaotic neutral. It’d be lawful if she didn’t believe that rules were meant to bend or break. 

She’s quiet, but that doesn’t mean she has nothing to say. She talks back if she thinks it’s necessary; she can have the most attitude of anyone in the room. Sometimes the look on her face is enough, but her attitude might be why she doesn’t have many friends. If you hang around her, she either likes you enough to act right or keeps you in check by calling you out.

Elle is a little short-tempered. There are many reasons that Elle is this way, but she’s especially pissed when people look at her or act like she’s a freak just because she was born after 1992. While most of the school are CL’s at this point, there are still seniors who were born without the radiation’s influence. The worst of it comes from their parents, who parade around town like the CL’s are contagious. Elle’s had a run-in with that mani-pedi, blonde blowout bitch Karen once before and she was incredibly tempted to shave her head while she wasn’t paying attention to her surroundings.

Elle is above that, of course, but there might be a day where she takes her revenge. Perhaps it’ll happen on her last day in Leesburgh.

[b]Bonds:[/b] Elle just tries her best to live life right. She might get up to mischief but it's just fun and games. She loves to skate and party. Her real goal is to move out of Leesburgh and go to college. Maybe she’ll be a writer, or maybe she’ll teach English. As long as she isn’t stuck in Leesburgh forever. 

[b]Activities:[/b] Elle isn’t much of an after-school extracurricular type of girl, but she does show at some of the football or soccer games if her friends ask her to go. In school she’s only in one club and that’s the Lit. Club. She loves to read and is actually acing English Lit., but prefers to be active instead. If you were to look for Elle after school or on a weekend she’d be found at the Summer Park’s skate park, downtown where there’s plenty of concrete, or hiding out at The Pile. There are also times when Elle goes to the skate rink. Her favorite places to grab food are at the hometown diner, the only Mexican restaurant within miles, or the pizza joint. She also likes to eat at Helen’s house, but she’ll never say it out loud. Eating out for Elle is rare, so she’ll usually head home when she gets hungry. If Elle goes to a party, she’s really only there for her friends and the free drinks. She gets high only when the provider shares or if she has extra cash to spend. Since money is a problem, Elle usually just spends her time skating.

[b]Skills:[/b] [list]
[*] Anything with Wheels: Elle has spent most of her free time out riding around the town. Her main form of transportation is a skateboard, but Elle is also skilled in bicycles, quad skates or rollerblades, longboards, scooters, and the like. The only motorized wheels she’s had experience with is one joy ride in her mom’s old mustang. She doesn’t have her license yet, but she’s confident she’ll pass if she can keep her foot off of the pedal.
[*] Basic Cooking: Elle understands the basics of cooking. Her best dishes are deliciously sick grilled cheese sandwiches and spaghetti. She’s had to make herself plenty of meals that weren’t just frozen dinners and cereal.
[*] Sleight of Hand: While Elle isn’t exactly proud of this skill, she’s had to pick it up in order to make ends meet at home. The ability to be unseen has made it easier to pickpocket, sure, but it’s all about the precision when it comes to removing a wallet or watch without being felt. Don’t worry, she only takes from assholes or thieves anyways.
[*] A Good Arm: Like previously said, Elle can throw a punch. It doesn’t really matter how small you are; if you know how to swing your arm right you can land a solid blow. Her hand might hurt like a bitch afterwards but she’ll at least disorient her opponent enough to escape or go for the nuts or eyes next.

[h2]BACKSTORY[/h2][hr]
[indent][b]Backstory:[/b] Elle’s history isn’t something she hides, but she isn’t proud of. Her parents were teens in love. After the spaceship rained down on the city, they grew closer over the shared stress of the new world around them. Getting pregnant was the last thing on their minds, let alone giving birth to a baby with powers.

Normal parenting is hard enough. To raise a baby that could disappear at random made it even more difficult. For a few years the young parents tried to raise their little Elodie as best as they could. Imagine changing the diaper of an infant who flickers in and out of sight, or feeding a baby who refuses to eat and disappears the moment they pick up a spoon. Can’t pretend its an airplane if you don’t know where to land it. When Elodie began to crawl and walk the parents’ stress multiplied. Her father was having a hard time keeping a job because he was still young and foolish. Her mother was stuck at home with the baby all day because her family kicked her out of the house for getting pregnant before marriage and her father’s family were alcoholics who refused to love a “freak.”

The stress became too much for the young parents and they soon split. Elodie’s father left Leesburgh and was never seen or heard from again. Her mother did her best to raise Elle, but on the nights she could get away from being a single parent she partied and got high.

By the earliest time Elle could fend for herself, her mother was out most nights. Sure, momma brought home money, or dated men who had money, but it never lasted. The two lived in a shabby apartment until Elle was 14. Her mother married a man she met at the bar. Apparently it was love at first sight, but Elle still thinks that her mother could do better. The man thinks Elle is a freak, but he still gave her a room and pays for her books and schooling.  At least she’s a smart freak.

Her mother holds a small job selling Avon makeup, but she really just smokes and sits at home dreaming of a life she never had. Her mom still loves Elle, of course, but those moments are rare and not to be counted on. So Elle began to spend more time out of the house and focused on her studies. She plans to leave Leesburgh the second she graduates.

[indent][b]Description:[/b] [i]Invisibility:[/i] Elle has the ability to bend the light around any object she choses, rendering it completely invisible to any living creature’s eye/s. This means that she can also bend the light around her own body. She and any object she chooses can move about an area without visible detection. Elle is also able to bend the light around certain parts of an object as well. An example of that would be to render her arm invisible, and yet the rest of her body is in full view. Also to conceal an item on her body or in her hands.

 [b]Limitations:[/b] Elle is only able to manipulate the visible light spectrum. This means that she is unable to hide herself or an object from any imaging or sensors that use other wavelengths of light.

To bend the light around an object takes only a second, but Elle also has to ensure that no one has seen her make the object or herself disappear to get the full effect. This means that Elle has to find cover before using her ability if she doesn’t want anyone to see her walk into/out of a room unnoticed.

On the current date Elle has been able to conceal an object or living thing for up to 48 minutes without fatigue. Concealing multiple objects at once decreases the amount of time hidden by minutes depending on the size of the object. At the moment the largest object Elle is able to hide is a sedan. She can hold its invisibility for about five minutes with strain.

[b]Weaknesses:[/b] Infrared technology such as night vision goggles or a near-infrared LED or laser can spot Elle or the object she is hiding. This means thermal imaging, heat sensors, and motion detectors ( like cameras, lights, or sensors) will trigger if she passes by. To put it plainly, any infrared sensing or projecting object will detect her. Black lights render her ability useless as well, which pisses her off. Oddly enough, Elle’s image will not process fully on any type of infrared imaging such as a security camera. Instead, the light around her appears scattered and blurry. This has the ASA agents convinced that Elle’s light manipulation affects the wavelength of the infrared by the smallest fraction. Yet it is effective in concealing the identity of herself or any object she is hiding. This doesn’t mean that Elle can rob a bank and get away with it. Any ASA agent aware of her ability could instantly pin her for the crime with one security video or photograph.

Becoming invisible is as easy as riding her board, but concealing her presence entirely is near impossible. Anyone with a nose, working eyes or ears, and touchy feelers can detect her presence easily. They could smell the faint traces of cigarettes and shampoo, hear her skateboard rolling down the pavement or the soft steps of her feet, or reach out and brush their hand against an unseen object. In crowded areas it’s easy to blend into the natural chaos, but in a quiet space Elle has to be cautious. If she needs a quick getaway she has to use her feet and tread very lightly. No rolling away with her middle finger in the air if she wants to get away without notice.
