Arvum
Lord of Golden Fields The Patient God Aspect Cultivation The yield of patience and perseverance - cultivation is the act of concentrated growth and refinement. It is not a process that can easily occur alone, and thus one must first nourish community. The bonds between people make them greater than if they were apart. A couple forms a family, families unite into a village, and villages form together to make kingdoms. To sustain a village, one needs more than what can hunt or gather. It requires the domestication of plants to create farms and orchards. Farms and orchard demand one improve their physical strength and stamina to maintain. To keep farmers in the health that they need, they require yet more food and thus need to domesticate animals to alleviate some of the work and as additional sources of nutrition. Domesticated animals require food, and thus tools need to be constructed to harvest more. This is the truth of cultivation: growth demands growth. Persona Arvum is a compassionate, friendly and industrious god, unconcerned with status or praise. Arvum seeks the betterment of life because that is his what he desires, and thus is only natural that is what devotes his effort towards. Regardless who he is addressing whether it be a the lowest mortal or the Monarch, he speaks truthfully and politely. He generously provides blessings to nearly anyone. On occasion, he will gift something away after being moved by hard-work or loyalty. Otherwise, his blessing usually require effort poured into them before they bear fruit. He does not like slothful people, but finds the wasted potential more sad than anything else. He dislikes thieves and bandits, and acts against them. However, his ire is reserved for betrayers of true friendships or steadfast companions. It is distasteful to bring a stranger low, it is anathema to do so to one who placed their trust into you. He is a patient god who never raises his voice, but do not mistake this for inability to inflict misery upon the deserving. He is a pragmatic god, but can also appreciate seeking out relaxation and aesthetic beauty. One can not have a healthy body without a healthy mind. In particular, the community coming together to celebrate a harvest is a wonderous thing. However, he is sometimes concerned by the excesses of mortals. Arvum is particularly forgiving and charitable to children. He considers the mistreatment of them to be especially heinous. He does not care if people worship him. The fields will still produce, cows will still give milk and chickens will still lay eggs. Leaving a portion of the harvest to rot will not endear oneself to him, however giving that food to a neighbor or orphanage could result in his appreciation. True Form A featureless humanoid form that resembles the sun, cloaked by a cape of dirt and mud with various plants and greenery growing from it. Mortals gazing upon his form find it exhausting, and while not usually fatal, can cause people to faint. Any activity taken while in close proximity becomes a far greater struggle. Steps feel like marathons and breathing becomes laborous.
