To be a Parasite, one must have a host, whether that be the bearer of a virus, an intestine for worms, a greater being that provides blood, a host for spawn, or even groups to steal wealth from.Parasites are always harmful to their hosts, causing physical and/or mental harm to the being that has been so unfortunate to be chosen as their host. A Parasite does not simply prey upon the host, they do not consume it outright, instead, many merely consume small portions, or use the host in other ways, regardless, Parasites and predators are not interchangeable. They also may take many forms, from tiny viruses to blood sucking beasts, there are even mortals who act akin to parasites, taking from their fellow kin without any remorse, all of these things are parasites in some way or another. Yesaris evokes this with their domain, all these wretched things fall under their command, using them to infest the world, feasting upon the bounty laid before them. The Divine Cannibal is not someone often worshiped or evoked, only those with truly dark and damnable desires would dare to even utter their name, likely seeking parasites upon their enemies, but one must be careful, Yesaris may just as likely find the summoner a far more suitable host to their kin.
Persona:
Unlike what some gods or mortals would seek to tell you, Yesaris is not a purely evil god, they do not seek the infection of life out of some desire to see it suffer or be destroyed, as without life, who would be the hosts to parasites? Instead, the Lord Parasite merely has a hunger they can not(and can never) quench, they wish to feed upon the great bounties of life akin to the parasites they rule over, seeing parasites feast upon their hosts, consuming and taking, it all sates that ever present hunger, even if just a little. In essence, they are a parasite on the grandest scale, seeking to take morsels of life in order to feed and to see their own spawn grow, all to the detriment of the world and the life upon it. Because of this, Yesaris can often seem bestial and savage when compared to other gods, and this isn’t really that far from the truth, to Yesaris all that matters is sating their gnawing hunger, if anything gets in the way of this, they are not afraid to strike out, even against other gods, and they are certainly not afraid to use a god itself to sate their hunger. On the other hand, if one were to aid in sating Yesaris’ hunger, they would gain a rather loyal ally, though, one more akin to having a wild animal on a leash that you toss meat to whenever it gets antsy. Despite their bestial savagery, there is intelligence and craftyness to Yesaris, they are not afraid to deceive and lie their way out of situations, or to feast upon some unsuspecting mortal, going so far as to take different forms within the mortals plane in order to avoid being spotted by both god and mortal alike in order to feast unhindered by either. Yesaris also does not think of all mortals as mere food, those outcasts of society: thieves, “savages'', cultists, and other “parasites” to society are welcomed amongst the spawn of the Hive and Flesh, and are often given gifts by Yesaris so that they may continue to feed them and continue their parasitism.
Main Form:
When using their most common form, Yesaris appears as a thing and short vaguely humanoid figure, their legs are digitigrade, insectoid, and covered in a bone coloured chitin, their torso and arms are similarly covered in this chitin, with there being four arms, each one ending in an insect like-clawed hand, just underneath the chitin one can get glimpses of a sickly flesh. Their body is hastily covered by various brown, tattered, wrappings that ooze a thick, green liquid. On their lower back they have a large, scorpion like stinger that injects a venom into those they sting. This venom can paralyze mortals or kill them in large doses, as for gods it merely numbs their body, or at most paralyses a limb. Over their body they have a large, tattered, dark brown cloak that hides nearly every section(the stinger is often too large to hide) with a large hood that covers their face. Their face itself will look just like an empty black void, regardless if the hood is up or not, the only discernible feature is the rows of jagged and sharpened teeth that represents their mouth, this part is never hidden, giving Yesaris a constant, wicked, toothy smile. Within this mouth they have a black tendril for a tongue, this tongue can also shoot out and pierce objects and beings, allowing Yesaris to drink its contents(often blood). Within the mortal realms, Yesaris also has various mortal disguises, these vary depending on where they are hiding at any given moment. If extra deception is needed, they will also take the form of a large stark-white vampire bat.
True Form:
In contrast to their more natural main form, Yesaris’ true form is the thing of nightmares. They are still covered in the bone white chitin but there are no wrappings and the flesh underneath can be seen far more often, they have six arms instead of four. Instead of legs they have a long centipede-like lower half, with thousands of legs that skitter about and propel them forward, at the end of this section is their stinger. Their head similarly has chitin over it, but it splits open four ways to reveal a large maw filled with teeth(think demogorgon from stranger things). Beyond this, parasites are constantly emerging from pores and holes in their centipede portion, mostly insects and pathogens, meaning that any mortal that had the misfortune to be close would be set upon by these creatures, killed by the mass of them consuming their body. Extra unlucky ones may even be impaled by one of Yesaris’ legs or consumed by the god themself.
