Question. It seems like magic is highly common in this setting. But still, How many mages are too many in a regiment? And is this more in the age of classical myth, like greco-roman/ turn of the bronze age? or traditional european medieval 'Ala holy Roman empire, 100 years war, etc.'
Mages in this world are common, but rarely are they regular soldiers. During the events of the roleplay they are even fewer. Any mages that come into your regiments are either the last of the elite battle mages you have or are fresh faced recruits that have been drawn up from your citizens to fight or die in the face of the growing darkness. The age of this isn't exactly uniform, however I did envision the roleplay to be closer to the Greco-Roman like era. It's hard to say what would and wouldn't be possible for a fantasy setting and I don't really want to bother too much as I primarily focus more on everyone's narratives rather than the tech. So I say, you're free to make it either I suppose.
