VIVA LA DIVITIA! Divitia: N. A world created by the Akin’Is for an unknown purpose. It is the home world of The Divitians. Divitia, on the surface, is just another life-supporting planet. Nearly identical to Earth several thousand years ago. However, below the surface is thousands of miles of installation, creating a network still yet unmapped fully. At the center of which is a power core that keeps the planet alive. Due to it’s location, it’s year is exactly ⅕ of an Earth year. Now you may ask “How can a planet not be too hot that close to a star?” And the answer is: “It’s climate controlled!” And it’s true, always has been. The Akin’Is, a now dead race, built it close to star and wrapped what’s called a “Warp Shield” around it. This shield dissolves any matter that pass through it. It is sustained by twenty-four satellites places in geosynchronous orbit around the planet. These satellites also keep an energy shield around the planet, and give controlled bursts to the planet to keep it habitable. The Divitians are polytheistic, and (As far as the Triumvirate is concerned) everyone believes in the same gods. (There might be exceptions, but those groups that might believe differently kill anyone that interacts with them.) The primary gods that are followed will be outlined later. In Divitian year 4576 the Divitians finally achieved control of the orbital stations around their planet, which allowed them to explore the rest of their solar system. In 4883 (307 Divitan years later/61.4 Human Years.) a storage cache of Akin’Is space technology was discovered inside the planet, and the Divitians started basing their technology on this. Doing so gave them the ability to live in a symbiosis with the planet, instead of the way modern day Humans do. In 4922 (39/7.8) the first working FTL drive was developed. After that they explored the galaxy, colonizing where possible, but never ever starting a war if possible. The grandeur of the galaxy they lived in amazed them. It is now 5342 (420/84). The Divitians have colonized most of the known galaxy. Having made many allies and many more enemies, they had not developed technologically for nearly two hundred years. There had been no need to. The Akin’Is left enough technology behind that they were far superior to any other race they came across, spreading Envy and Awe of them. Fifteen years ago an unknown race calling themselves the “Halycon” declared war on the Divitians. Their forces are far inferior to Divitian ships, and have not won a single battle as of yet. But they refuse to parley or make any pact of peace. In these short years the Divitians have not located a single Halycon world, and still don’t know what their foe actually looks like. But so far, all that has happened is the mass decimation of their fleets. But you’re probably wondering. What IS a Divitian. Well to put it the easiest way possible, an animal person. Yes, animal people. Don’t go running for the hills! I’m not talking one particular kind, Divitians have many different subspecies resembling various Earth-Like creatures. (Of course, Earth is an unknown place to the Divitians, as Earth is in a different Galaxy.) The ones you may encounter in this RP are (In Alphabetical order. Ones marked with a “(P)” are ones you can play as.): Aardvark(P), Avian(P), Centipede(P), Crocodile(P), Dragon(P), General Insectoid, Lizard(P), Millipede (Different than Centipede.), Porcupine(P), Spider, and Wolf(P). For what I have in mind, I’m going to need at least 6 people (Including me.), though I will be willing to have more. Keep in mind the Divitians for the most part never have long wars, so everyone is a tad green combat-wise. I will need Divitian General: Whoever this is won’t RP much, but will get to be the awesome guy in charge of the primary strategy of the Divitians. (I will fill this role if no one wants it. Doesn't require a character app, and all rping/strategy will be done in PMs, so you won't actually be posting anything in the IC chat.) Divitian Soldiers: 4-7 slots, most RP, but I’m not big on promoting people, so keep that in mind. For the most part, you will be on a space ship handling basic affairs, though there will be combat. You will have to take on a second role on ship. (Such as Engineer, security, ect ect. Captain's messanger will be an Insectoid that will be played by me) Divitian Captain: Commander of aforementioned Divitian Soldiers, will command an entire ship, because He’s cool. (He will get slightly more RP than the overarching General, but not as much as the soldiers.) Divitian Researcher: Someone who goes with everyone else on ground missions. Mostly a liability, but you’re ordered to keep him safe. (If I have a large excess of good apps) Halycon Researcher: Someone who researches the Halycon, NOT an actual Halycon. VIP: Someone that has to be saved at some point. Woohoo! You know something no one else knows about the Halycon. (I will PM you what you know.)
DIVITIANS GO INTO HEAT LIKE ANIMALS Except for Dragons and Avians. Meaning, you’re likely not going to try to have sexual relations with anyone, and it’s to your best interest to not go into heat. Regarding Erotica: Keep it in a private chat, I know for a fact there are minors on this website, and I don’t want then exposed to this here. Drop subtle hints in IC, but keep it SFW. Also, no subspecies have breasts, except for the Dragon subspecies.

Aardvark: Typically keep to themselves, sometimes walk on all fours, eat a lot, have the nose, polite, 5’2”-5’6” and live to be around 60 human years old. Coloration can vary due to natural tendencies as well as dying. Avian: Typically more resistant to mental stress, and are more agile than most others. This mental resistance often results in them being cold, stubborn, or overconfident in their abilities. They can’t fly, and are covered in more down than actual feathers, as well as have the typical bird hollow bones. They are oddly resistant to the effects of “Warp Cloak” and are typically the only race in major assassin guilds. (No, you cannot be part of one.) Normally live to be about 40 human years old. They have a beak that ranges from 4”-7”, and can be colored like any bird on Earth. Normally between 5’7”-6’4”. Are the only other race to not have a “Heat”. Centipede: Typically more intelligent, and have twelve legs. Depending on the individual, they walk on either six legs or eight. They’re not very resistant to emotional or mental stress, but are very skilled at math and science. They’re normally 7-8’ long, and sometimes have an artificial Chitin if their original one rots or gets too small. Live to be around 120 human years old. Crocodile: Typically not as intelligent as other subspecies, but make up for this in brawn. Their scales are typically augmented with armor, and serve as better protection than their Earthren counterparts. They stand around 6’7” and are the second tallest Divitian subspecies. Their mouths have not grown any weaker either. Live to be 55 human years old. Dragon: Typically confident and charismatic, the Dragon subspecies basically runs the political structure of Divitia. They have enough wit to convince the less intelligent subspecies, and enough grace (And in the guys’ case, Swagger) to woo over the smarter subspecies. They’re one of the few Divitian subspecies that do not go into heat when they need to mate. About 70% of the Dragon Subspecies actually have wings, the other 30% don’t, but are a little bit taller. These wings are mostly used for show, but could potentially allow the user to glide short distances when not heavily armored. Their scales can be any color. Typically 2’11”-3’2” if they have wings, and 3’7”-4’2” without. They are the shortest subspecies. Live to be 300 human years old. Lizard: This Subspecies has the most random of personalities, and range in similarities to Chameleons to Komodo Dragons. Their personalities are always extremely strong. For example, if they'd normally be someone who likes to keep in shape, they'd take it to the extreme of working out three hours a day every day. They are always taller than Dragon Subspecies, and shorter than Crocodiles. Live to be 60-100 human years old. Porcupine: This subspecies are typically wimpier than the others, shying away from fights and other such things. Which is a tad odd, as they are normally muscular (Less so than the Crocodiles.), and do in fact have quills. These Quills range in length from 2’ long to 6”, and are fairly tough to break. They stand at above 7 feet, but are never tall than eight feet. Live to be 150 human years old. Wolf: Typically peppy, cheerie, and energetic. They very closely resemble their Earthren brethren, the only physical difference being they stand upright and can speak. They normally stand around 5’2” tall, and have an odd dislike for clothes. They normally act childish as well. They live to be twenty human years old. Things to keep in mind while roleplaying: Divitians almost never have wars, so you’re not going to very good at fighting at first. However, learning quickly is possible. Also, Divitians are considered "Of Age" at the age of Fifty Divitian Years (Ten human years.)
General Rules for OOC chat: 1. Forum Rules 2. Do not bring up issues that do not pertain to this RP. 3. Don’t use overly vulgar language, and no NSFW content or links. Rules for Characters: 1. Your character has to be somewhat dynamic. 2. Your character MUST follow a particular god/goddess (Of your choice), but that doesn’t mean you have to constantly pray/worship ect. You can be a non-practitioner, but, there are several guidelines you still have to follow. Atheists/Agnostics/Anything else against religion is a no-no. 3. Racism is possible, but unlikely in some cases (Such as against Dragon subspecies. Or such as Lizard/Crocodile racism.) 4. If your character is Avian, he can’t be or have been in the two major Assassin groups (Ah’Kier and Dro’Kiyn). However, they COULD have been given the chance to join the Ah’Kier, and turned it down. (Dro’Kiyn just abduct you.) 5. Maximum (Except in the captain’s case) of ten Divitian years of experience in the military (Two Human Years). 6. I will have leniency on all of these, of course.
Barzule: God of Time. Followers typically live a partially non-materialist life, and are against coveting large amounts of wealth. Typically, when they have more than ten thousand excess, they donate some of it to various charities, unless they’re saving up to buy a bigger home for their family or some other cause that helps more than themselves. This being said, they ARE imperfect sentient beings, and are capable of greed. Zealous followers typically have a bonfire every three years, where they sacrifice possessions to it. Some also take a pilgrimage to a shrine or holy place of some sort. Typically depicted as some animal that lives separate from others of its kind. Azure: Goddess of Order and Justice. Followers typically are expected to promote government and condemn anarchy. Typically followed by dragon subspecies, followers oftentimes promote government by either joining it or giving money to the government. Pilgrimages to shrines are not uncommon, and she is generally considered a benevolent goddess. More passive followers normally organize their living areas in some fashion, as to show that they accept order. She is typically depicted as a full-out Dragon. Helvïn: God of Shadows. Followers are typically those prone to practicing things that are on the grey side of legal. They stick to the shadows, and leave all lights in their home off at all times, in the belief that their god can visit them only if there is darkness. He has no real shrines, and is considered to be the Jailor of the evil gods. Devout followers typically sacrifice something of value to him annually. Avos: God of Fear, Typically not followed, as he is a fairly weak god and fear is considered a weakness. Those who do follow him however, are those of the Porcupine Subspecies and those who live to inspire fear. Typically those who follow have a shrine tucked away somewhere filled with things, or pictures of, things that inspire fear in them. All followers keep a photograph of what they fear the most (That they know of of course.). Akin'Is: Considered a "God Race". Worshiping these ones is the most prominent characteristic of Divitians. It is believed that the Akin'Is were all knowing and ascended as a race into the realm of the gods. They are the cause of the Divitians' existence, as they built Divitia from scratch. The Divitian Written language as well as their technology derives directly from them. Priests who claim to be able to speak to the Akin'Is are supposed to show perfect mental fortitude, and are always Psionic in some shape or form. They are typically Dragons and Centipedes, however, no truly powerful psionics exist in Divitians, the strongest ever recorded was merely able to communicate telepathically at ranges up to seventy meters. Follows are expected to make a pilgrimage to one of the primary Psionic Reliquaries held deep within the planet annually, and attempt to communicate with them through these reliquaries. Followers can asks the priests to ask the Akin'Is answers to questions, and oftentimes do receive and answer, but not always a good one. Followers are also expected to leave their minds open to any who wish to speak to them psionically. Psionics are also considered gift from the Akin'Is, however, science has proved that this was simply a natural development for the Divitians. Divitan Years are how many years have passed since they discovered the first Psionic Reliquary underground inside the catacombs the Akin'Is left in the planet. (If you don’t think any of these will fit your character, I’ll add more, but as of right now, that’s enough.)

Name: (Required, but do not need middle name.) Nickname: (Not required.) Gender: (Obvious.) Age: (Somewhere reasonable please.) Subspecies: Physical Description: Goddess/God: (The Goddess or God your character follows.) Background: (Minimum of one paragraph, maximum of five. I don’t want to spend an entire day reading!) Personality: (A basic personality description.) Role: (What role you want. For the most part, you'll probably be "Recruit" or whatever I put up there.)

The main power on Divitian is the Triumvirate, which is three Dragon subspecies who serve as the head priests and the controllers of all the legislative, executive, and judicial power on the planet. To oppose them means death, so they have very few disputes over the system. Every ten Divitian years all Divitians who are of age and are part of the main pact, may vote on one of the people in the Triumvirate, but there are no term limits. This threesome is surprisingly uncorrupt when it comes to law making, but some corruption is still there.

Ah’Kier Assassins: The assassin group working for the Triumvirate, not allowed to go to Divitia except on assignments, these assassins are always Avians taken at the age of forty and trained until an unknown age. Those taken never see their families again. Dro’Kiyn Assassins: Nothing is known about them other than that they abduct Avian children and follow the Dark God Timirus. H.O.L.Y. G.R.A.I.L.B.: Holy, Open Logistics with Yolsolin (Co.) and Genetic Re Accuritation Inside Living Bodies. Works in Genetic Engineering, they do not modify anyone under one-hundred and seventy-seven Divitian years. (35.4 Human Years.) They have so far extended the lifespan of select Avians by five years, unique cases by ten, and have extended the life of Dragon Subspecies by a record of twenty five years. Yolsolin Company: A research company that works in progress in Genetcs. Feel free to add one, but don't make it something highly exclusive and prestigious. There are local and "Territorial" governments. More to be added. (I’m not done!)

Absolutely nothing is known about the Halycon, other than they are idiotic enough to have the audacity to attack the Divitians. However, where their worlds are located are unknown as well. So far the war has been good, and has had a total of six Divitian Casualties.
I might have said this before, but the technology is as follows for infantry. 1. Psionic guns (Have a limited charge based on number of crystals. Have a ballistic mode that can fire small scrap metal pieces or bullets, but this still drains the crystals and is not very effective at long range. Due to the fact that these guns use Psionic energy, there is no recoil and psionically gifted individuals can recharge them.) 2. The armor given comes in four tiers. "Scar" plating is the least protection, covering only the chest, head, and front of their legs. The plates are designed so that the armor makes no sound while moving, so the armor is often given to scouts. The armor also comes equipped with a shield with a psionic gem set into it. The shield comes as a bracer, and can fold out into a full sized shield, with a weak shield emitter. The "Second Tier" Armor is “Shadow” plating. It comes equipped with a second gen active camouflage and a light full-body shield emitter. It serves for the same purposes as “Scar” plating, but it covers their entire body, and has extra psionic gems on the arms and legs, giving four extra full-psionic shots, and depending on the size of the shot, 20-32 ballistic rounds. “Third Tier” Armor is the most common plating. It is moderately heavy armor and has a heavier shield than the other armor. It provides a complete immunity to psionic weapons, meaning friendly-fire is not a danger, and the armor provides some protection against ballistic weapons and animal. The armor is too heavy for most Avians, as their bones are hollow and not built for large amounts of constant stress. It has eight extra crystals around the belt, providing eight extra psionic shots and 40-64 extra ballistic rounds. However, the armor no longer provides the psionic immunity if it runs out of power. “Fourth Tier” Armor is virtually power armor, with a full face mask and full body coverage. It has Fifteen extra psionic crystals, clips for larger weapons, Psionic immunity, and physical strength boosts. These can only be worn by Crocodile and Porcupine subspecies, and for the exceptional, uncommon, male, wingless Dragon. The weight and training of the armor takes to long and is too intensive for any other Divitian Subspecies. It has its own oxygen supply, two medkits, and an emergency psionic explosion, as well as a slot on the back for Rejuvenation kits to be used on. 3. Medkits consist of medi-gel and minor rejuvenation kits that can regenerate portions of the body as large as one’s hand. 4. Centipedes and Millipedes who have outgrown their chitin get a fake one about as tough and useful as the most common Allumptial Plating.
